A lot of artists have a passion for what they love doing, they're not trying to please everyone by being giggly and bubbly in public. It's their talent that we should admire or not. I love Jonathan Ross...so far the best host I've come acrossed. We don't get talkshows here except for Oprah and Ellen on free channels. I wish they showed Jonathan Ross here but the humour may be too risque for the conservative media here. They would show half naked models on reality tv shows but not good ol' dry british humour.

He discusses a serious problem with appropriate seriousness--he doesn't shirk his responsibility as an artist and person, just because it's not the kind of thing that garners laughs. There's more to art than satire, irony and "yucking-it-up" for the crowds.

I think pretty much exactly the way Damon does about the things discussed here and about society in general, from what I've heard from interviews. I have to refrain from expressing myself though because most people don't like to think too much about the world we're living in and they feel uncomfortable discussing it. I don't understand why.
