  • WTF! Sorry for the triple post. My computer said errors occurred on the first 2.

  • i hope they will put some new great album again..after this they actually kinda lost their way....was it because of chris de garmo departure',,?

  • @superbatfirenze DeGarmo's departure was amicable; they're all still friends, but they just wanted to go in different directions musically. It's a real shame he wasn't involved in Mindcrime II given his level of involvement in the original Mindcrime.

  • @superbatfirenze DeGarmo's departure was amicable. They're all still friends and talk to each other at times. It's a shame he wasn't involved in Mindcrime II, though.

  • This is my favorite Queensryche song. Its one of the best songs ever in my opinion. Before this I used to play Operation: Mindcrime a lot. Suite Sister Mary is my favorite off that album. The first concert I ever went to was the Queensryche tour in 1991. The show was awesome and the band remains one of my favorites.

  • This is weird look for Geoff...

  • This was the Album and song that got me into Queesnryche in the first place, I remember buying the album in the late 90's...

  • this is a fuckin great album!!! perhaps their last good album...it is so full of great songs and feelings..it takes you to a completely new, inner view of yourself..i just love it..

  • I am I..the only one that I know that has ever seen this band live..1990 Calgary Saddledome with Kingdom Come...great bands :>

  • Great song!

  • im gettn sick just watchin all em spin lol

  • Queenryche shouldn't be on Vevo.

  • @theedeadidols Are you a feckin idiot? This is EMI's channel. This album was released under EMI.

  • what a voice this man has ....that voice gets under my skin everytime I listen to this tune . You won't get many better voices in metal nowadays .

  • @bubu10435 Hes an Icon!

  • @bubu10435 Geoff Tate is not a Metal vocalist. Queensryche aren't a Metal band and most of all this is seriously NOT a Metal song. It's prog rock.

  • I didn't know this had a video!!! What a genius song

  • I love this song,I bought Promised land when it was released and expected a difference because they were not ever a mainstream outfit just listen to the difference between The Warning and Rage for order and then a complete concept album like Operation that sounded nothing like anything before to Empire that became popular because the songs were undeniably great and couldn't be overlooked by the cheese whizer's in the industry that are constantly trying to dumb the public down. This album was good

  • Geoff Tate is a stud! His voice is the best there is!!

  • The very WORST Queensryche album is infinately BETTER than the BEST album by Motley Crue, Poison, et all......

  • @Finatic13 Yeah, well I always thought this too but then along came Dedicated To Chaos and changed everything!

  • 2 kik yur fokin ayse!!!!! ryche onnn \m/

  • Hey VEVO, Queensrychye's "I Am I" and Avril Lavigne's ad promo "Smile" both on-screen.

Fucking idiots. What's next, Iced Earth with special guest Hannah Montana?

Do it, and I will make sure you wear your corporate ass as a hat.

  • @dreamtheater9352000 WTF has fucking VEVO got to do with anything?? This is EMI's YouTube channel. Jesus, some people can be so dumb. :/

  • smashing song AND video

  • My personal favourite album by the band.

  • I <3 Queensryche & this song.. but this video is making me dizzy as hell lol

  • this video fucked me up

  • What can they say? That new type of "spin" washing machine technology was cutting edge back in '94. Great album, nice counterpoint to Rage for Order, my all-time favorite.

  • AND WONDERS, WHAT NOW????? IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII AAAAAMMMMMMM.

  • I am I !!!

  • GREAT Song!!!

But the video makes me want to PUKE!!!!!!! WTF with the incessant spinning?!?!?!?

  • SOOOOOOO under rated song :'(

Queensryche... one in a lifetime kind of band :)

  • This song is excellent, but the only track from the album that I liked much. Empire was of course the best album they ever put out. Tate had true talent, what a voice. He and Sebastian Bach (Skid Row) could actually sing!

  • one of the most underrated bands EVER

  • This Album is a Progressive work, and is in there top 3 works. Not as Mainstream as some of the early music

  • Didn't Beavis and Butthead make fun of this video? It's a good song though!

  • I remember all of the hype behind this album. Back before MTV turned to crap, they ran commercials about this album and aired a live release event. They gathered a bunch of fans together and let them hear the music first and watch the video in tandem with the T.V. audience. Needless to say, it bombed pretty bad. People were expecting another Mindcrime or Empire and you could see the disappointment in their faces. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan. But it was a turning point for the band.

  • Why Does Geoff Tate Look Like "The Rock"?

  • 1:31 - 1:50 Sounds Like A Mix Between Inspector Gadget And Egyptian Music!!! Epic!!!

  • No names, no titles, no fictions...

    Just I

Great lesson. Very relevant to the spirit of the time with all the false egos running a muck.

  • Great song, but think I'm going to go puke after watching the video.

  • Only good song on the album. Promised Land was a colossal disappointment compared to Empire and Operation: Mindcrime..

  • *snickers* Much of their work was well before their time.

  • wid hash will do

  • Geoff Tate has a great set of pipes.

  • great song.....terrible TERRIBLE video !

  • Great song from Queensryche. This song makes a powerful statement here. Very cool video to.

  • This album have two songs, i am i and damaged and queensryche died here.

  • I want to kick the shit out of the people who said this album sucks Queensryche cant rebound from a shitty ass album because they put the best albums foward

    Metal will always rulee

  • @NASCAR90

This album is great, but the one that followed, I thought was a bit weak, I don't know the ones after, I just got into this band this year but the albums Rage for Order through Promised Land is some of the best music I've ever found

  • @dylanskriloff

Yeah, what was it? Hear in the Now Frontier? I didn't get much into that one either, and unfortunately after that, I forgot about Queensryche. Maybe I'll pick up American Soldier, though. Promised Land and Empire both terrific.

  • @NASCAR90

Loved this album. Wish music was different right now.

Maybe people will soon come to their senses again and buy music that has some substance and thought.

  • @NASCAR90 Why would you require to commit such that bad violence against such people when one of Queensryche's own good messages had been about how people should stop hating their own enemies? Queensryche had also been 100% aware that because some governments had wanted to serve the tax dollars instead of serving the greater good of man, that that had been one of the reasons why so much violence and hate had surfaced onto earth to begin with and to end with.

  • @NASCAR90 People who say this album sucks aren't true Queensryche fans and have no idea of the kind of band they are. They're just dumbass metal heads without a creative or imaginative bone in their body. Promised Land was their BEST album. Was the one that made me a fan in the first place.

  • Great song from their greatest album "Promised land".

  • This came out on gold colored vinyl limited ed. EP

Slow it from 33 to 16 rpm

It sounds like the laments of Satan

    Absolutely Freaky

  • Can I just say that this song is a thousand times better than any of the bullshit currently being played on the radio?

Of course, it was that much better than everything else played on the radio when it came out, too.

  • Geoff looks like George Michael in this one. He's so much cooler now, with long hair.

  • He started with Long hair! Hes very very very Cool Lyricly this band is Freaking AMAZING!

  • half long look it up in nightrider it was neither long or short in between and kind of wavy

  • I do not agree this was just great, seeing him with the mohawk he was very badass, also I am one who has the opinion if a man wants to age gracefully and is losing hair do not grow it too long because it brings out more effect of baldness! but if your name is steve perry you can grow it long still at 60, love geoff though!!!

  • the music and lyrics are much, much better than the dizzying video. Wish the director's skill would have equaled the band's.

  • the first time I saw this I thought WTF is this! I did not like the vid nor the song!! but it grew on me and now I love it!, after empire this was so diffrent it was the last album I bought after that they lost me sorry

  • Queensryche Rule!!!

  • The first track on this album features sounds of an old man dying and flat-lining....a few minutes later, this song starts. Death & Rebirth. Being what I am, I truly appreciate this tune. Goosebumps everytime.

  • @runehealing thats what i like about the song to..how it goes from the the flat lining to the sound of a baby being born..very deep.
