hi man.. please give me an advice

so i've a Nokia 6280 and is still working since 2005.. yes, kinda old but seriously i love it.

The problem is the flap, it moves all the time when it's lowered ( you know when is down, when i sliding down in fact.. ) now could you just tell me what can i do ?.. please ? ( sorry for the mistakes in gram. )

need help...found this phone in my closet, i guess it's my brothers or something from along time ago. Anyways, the call and end buttons are not working for some reason. So is the camera not working but i heard formatting the phone would do the trick. but formatting needs the call button. Do you have any idea what this may be? When I opened it up, the button for the push to talk fell off the board. Do you think this is related to those two buttons not working? thanks in advance

Any smart ass in here? (being polite). My nokia 6280 screen graphics seem buggered. When I slide open phone, the screen becomes fuzzy and sometimes turns screen in multi coloured stripes. Basically I cannot see shit. Anyone have any idea how i can fix this problem? Maybe i can open it up?

i have the same problem, send it into a nokia center or if u wanna do it ur self, its the 'flex cable' thats carked it. you can buy these from ebay.

Shouldn't u have removed the UI module first rather than the display's shield? i mean for someone who has sliperish hands they might rip the foil of the LCD.. Any way ..great job... :D

I studied this fantastic video until I had the nerve to try replacing a screen in my 6280.I did so quite successfully and will now attempt replacing the dreaded keypad flex cable.Being an older woman I got the biggest buzz out of it and the IT computer Tech son couldnt believe it.A great big thanks for all the videos.Fantastic!!!!!

great help, i had a very battered 6280 and managed to pick up a very new looking one for next to nothing, the only problem was it was locked to a foreign network, so with this videos help i was able to swap the the main circuit board from my old 6280 to the new 6280 and now have a brand new looking phone again, thanks

my nokia 6280 just has a black screen. the keypads appear to be working and such, and the screen does come on it is lit up. however its just black. if you know what i mean. i tried turning it off and on and well.. hah yeah thats all ive done i dont want to open it up and play with anything incase i stuff it up for real.

you may have i virus on it you could try conecting it too your computer and deleting files or texts etc... that may contain viruses or u could also try scanning it with a virus dection program but i dont know weather that will work - good luck

Marcus ... do you know anything about the problem where the 6280 screen display starts inverting (i.e. upside down) and fuzzy lines pulsate and then it goes blank. Also keyboard seems to be affected as PIN number can't be entered. Anyway I am disassembling to see if anything is loose and your video was very easy to follow. Will let you know how I go after I remove dust and clean connectors...

FonExtras here in the UK. Good luck it's easy but you will need the special screwdriver the T6 from the same place and a strong thumb nail!

I had the same thing- Press *#0000# on the front screen, and it'll show the Software version.

I had v03.82 (or something similar) and I had to send it back to Nokia to get the software updated.

Apparently lots of the earlier 6280's had a fault where you couldn't update the software in a shop- so had to be sent away. I was without the phone for just over a week- luckily I had an old phone to use.

If the phone's under a year old- it should be done under Nokia's Warrenty.

Quick question for any smart alec who knows the answer! jus got back from spain my 6280 bit playing up the display on the screen goes upside down then screen goes all funny and goes back to normal again however last night it went off altogether phones switches on can recieve calls and make calls but nothing on the screen jus black or blank, what could it be? definately is not water damage and its out of warranty cheers.

If it's a demo (i.e. dummy), then how come there's a battery on it? I've cracked open a dummy phone (a Nokia 1600, by the way) and it only had lead slugs for weights instead of PCBs and a battery cell. Also, a dummy phone's faceplate can only be pried open with a precision screwdriver...

Try clean up a connections but not with vaseline... use something with alcohol... Maybe You must replace old mainflex assembly with new... a lot of problems with camera is across the mainflex...

I have problems with my camera, When i press hard on the display it works, otherwise not... so i disassembled the display and "upper keyboard" And now the camera doesn't even try to work, and the light of the display and upper keys only work when i press on it... what to do I ask myself:( maybe I should use vaseline on the connections?

So You can`t switch on Your phone. Power button is included with 1MD Mainflex Assembly - the tape who connect one part of the phone with second. Maybe problem is in battery connector??

About LCD screen - You must remove a small metal frame around the LCD. Next disconnect a tape from small keypad... that`s all...

When You Nokia have a problem with camera (operation failed) you must check You UI Board Assembly. Exactly I mean about a tape used to connection Your slide assembly with motherboard. Second You can check You software. Maybe you must flash Your phone without restore Your data.
