Correct me if I'm wrong but did't PSU beat OREGON STATE 45-14. The team who USC lost to! Second of all I admit it PSU played like shit in that game against USC. They did not play the way they did all year. They made too many mistakes like penalities, they had more penalities in that game then they did 3/4 of the year.They could have beaten USC. Don't get me wrong USC is a good team PSU is just better!!!!!

Doesn't matter what happened the rest of the year. USC beat Ohio like 43-3? Penn State barely got 13 points against Ohio. Penn state handled OS. USC was beaten by them by a TD. USC beat Penn State by 2 TDs. Yet even though both our teams beat Ohio, Ohio almost beat UT, who destroyed almost everyone of their opponents [read: Red Raiders] Point being it doesn't matter who showed up the rest of the year, what matters is who can stand up and win at the end of the year, and USC won.

So far we've blown out the "toughies", and soundly beat Illinois and Purdue. I think that's going to stay the same when we go into the Horseshoe and stuff Beanie Wells like a Thanksgiving turkey and Pryor ends up eating the turf all night.

They also forgot that the 2006 loss to Ohio State was not a brutal blowout. It was a 3-0 PSU lead at the half, only down 14-6 very late in the 4th and driving for the tying score. It could have been 10-7 if the stupid 4th and 1 penalty wasn't committed and the Troy Smith hail mary would have failed.

Morelli being our QB didnt help matters either. You are spot on. We were in that game, but in the end Ohio State made the plays and we shot ourselves in the foot. This time we have a real player at QB, a more wide-open offense, and great senior leadership. Hopefully that translates into a different outcome this time around.

Even last year, people think I'm crazy, but we could have won it if we'd have played better defense and made better plays. But 2006 we gave the game away. But I think this year we'll soundly beat Ohio State in the Horseshoe. The defense has turned out to be surprisingly good, like the 1986 defense. And the offense reminds me of the 1994 offense. Our only two challenge games left are Ohio State and Michigan State, but I think we win.
