Lara neither has the looks and persona to play Paro. Paro should be someone who have an aristocratic (sp?) look. I think Kareena will be very good for Paro and Rani definitely for Chandramukhi. Sorry lara but you should stick to the minuscule role role.

when sanjay did devdas it was 50 yrs after the original so y r they making another one 5 yrs after sanjay's one-also chandramukhi was vyjanthimala and madhuri so i dont think lara or rani can compete

Yes, it is too bad Madhuri retired. Albiet, I have the upmost respect for WHY she retired, but it is still a great loss for her fans. I must console myself with the fact that she now lives only one city away from my own. Perhaps one day I may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of her!

lara should not get the role for paro...shes more suitable for chandramukhi...either her or rani should be selected for the role of chandramukhi.... but soha is perfect for paro..especially when she has the classical 1950's bengali look
