@adamebiology I used a capillary tube to put a drop or two of pigment onto the paper, let it dry, then added a few more drops, let it dry, etc. I don't recall how many times I did this... enough where I had a nice, dark spot of pigment on the chrom. paper.
I have a colleague who places a fresh spinach leaf on the paper and then rolls a coin over it repeatedly. He swears by it, but I've never tried it. Its much more simple than what I do, but my results are good so I don't mess with it.
