It's about how the South American Indians travelled to the South Pacific and being the original inhabitants of polynesian people. So polynesian people maybe or are of Native American Indian Decent

Pretty sure you're thinking of the Kon Tiki, which was a balsa wood raft. While Easter Islanders drew reed rafts, I think heyerdahl was just trying to prove reed boat's seaworthiness...not some historic link btw Africa and the Americas.

Well that was the whole point. Thor Heyerdahl didn't build these balsa wood rafts for no reason. Thor Heyerdahl based most of his work on the origins of Polynesian people and how they navigated from place to place. Indeed his work paid off and Polynesian people are now believed to be a mixture of Malayan from South-east Asian and American Indian from the Americas (Mainly from the south)

there are definitely links between asia and america through the polyesian ancestors, but to say they came from this place or that place is a bit of a stretch, as they moved from place to place they left their genes, language and cosmology.
