  • Thanks a lot, I saw your 4 volumes. I play old hindi songs on my C - marine band, but I always got a flat sound. And wanted to learn more. You are a very good teacher. Hope to see more of your videos.

    Thanks from India

  • I somehow just made a bad comment....SORRY.

    Pressed the wrong key ???

This guy is great and the whole deal is so cool!

  • Great tutorial man, you are a great harp player, and your experience is great too based on the stuff you say. I'm a guitar player myself, just starting with harp, so these advices are a awesome!

PS on thing I wanted to mention is that MIC100/MIC200 preamps don't really have 12AX7 tube, they use modeling. I don't think that it is that important - your sound is awesome through this rig (which is another proof that you are great musician), just wanted to make it clear.

    rock on mate

    cheers

  • The Behringer mic100 pre has a 12AX7 tube with no modelling. The mic200 has a modelling feature that allows use of the tubes warmth if diffrent modes. I have both and have tried several tubes in the mic200 and settled for an old mesa tube that has a bit more depth, changing the tube for harp made a diffrence as the gain is pushed hard to make the tube clip. The vamp series of pres does not have a tube and is totally digital, .

Thanks for your kind words and best of luck.

    cheers from Brian.

  • Sorry mate, I was under impression that MIC100/200 were "fake" tube preamps (using digital chip+LED diode flashed fake tube) based on the story of a friend of mine who owns one. I was pretty sure he was right.. so again, sorry for putting this wrong info here. Thanks for making me sure about this.

I will continue watching your great videos about harp, rock on mate.

    regards

    Ivan

  • If I may ask, Where are you from, sir? I'm from Chicago.

  • forgive me for being "amp challanged", but Do they make just an amplifier with that modulation and effects stuff built in?

  • Yes they are called KX series and you can see one in the tutorial USING PLAY ALONG EQUIPMENT.

    CHEERS BRIAN.

  • Thanks so much for the tutorial. It's a great starter guide!

  • for once i'm making a half-decent sound. thank-you for your help/inspiration.

  • Great stuff man - could you give me an idea of your MIC200 settings ?

  • Please tell me about that single-tube pre-amp. Who makes it? Model number? Sounds sweet.

  • Behringer MIC200 if you get one let me know and ill give you an idea on settings.

  • Could I plug a mic into that, then run it into the PA and get a fat, amped sound? (FWIW, I've been playing many years and have a strong acoustic sound - so I'm not looking for instant tone, just a light, portable rig.)

  • Watch tutorial 7 and you will see that being done.

  • Thanks, IP. Nice stuff. I've been lining directly into the PA using an SM 58 mic and a Harp Commander pre-amp. Sounds great, but I'm intrigued by the MIC200. Certainly is a lot cheaper. :-)

  • Hi Ozharp - great stuff! I just picked up a MIC200 - can you give me some pointers for settings? What are you using? Do you use it TOGETHER with your amp modeler (blue box)? What is that blue box?

    Thanks for the info!

  • Hi

I've really enjoyed your teaching series so far, just getting back into harp after losing motivation a couple of years ago. Kim Wilson is my favourite player, followed by Sonny Terry.

I was wondering what the blue effects unit you have is?

    It sounds great! Thanks!

  • Superdemolisher. I cannot answer your question you have your mail set to friends only.

  • Great as ever!!!!

  • thank you!
