I agree with the highliters, all usually look the same when on the face, no need to buy the most expensive ones or some name brand. I too don't see the big deal with the Touche Eclat, I dont see it doing anything for/to my skin and I tried both colors for my skin, as for the smell, I didnt notice a smell. I also love laura Mercier, I have her products and brushes. I honestly don't understand who actually likes Bare Minerals, their stuff is awful, just awful. I fell for the hype as well yrs ago.
Hi. I meant what color of powder mineral foundation you are wearing (from Laura Mercier)? Maybe you wear a certain shade on regular basis? I went to their website and they have like 12 different shades of mineral foundation. I heard you mention in another video that you have a yellow/green skin undertone (which I have).

the golden medium in everyday minerals is almost identical to the color your using in bare minerals but the finish is so much nicer and not at all drying =]

it has an ingredient in it called bismuth which is used as a filler for led bullets and its turns out that i am highly allergic to it and at first it made my skin tight and dry feeling but after like the third time i used it, it literally burned the skin off of my face.
it was horrible!
you should really try everyday minerals, my shade is golden medium and its quite yellow i think you would like it =].
its very creamy and they have 4 different formulas.

Thanks honey we have the same mentality. I brought things for hype to. Bare minerals foundation it's ashy looking and has titanium dioxide which is used in,white paint , horrible for pictures. the dior amber diamond shimmer powder is an AMAZING highlighter!! im not a fan diors shadows, but LOVE the shimmer powder and bronzers..hightly recommend them. Dior bronzer is SO much better than the nars laguna. I use the one in 002 honey matte..LOVE IT!

I have a Dior eyeshadow palette too and I've probably only used it once! The colours are not pigmented, too much fallout and they are way too chalky! Waste of money for me :-(

Have you tried the Smashbox Halo? I thought of it when you mentioned loving the glow from the LM. I've never tried the LM but LOVE the Halo. It makes my skin look flawless and youthful. Just the perfect glow w/out being greasy looking. :)

I feel the same about BB Shimmer Bricks: I bought two,the Nude and the Platinum pink I think.They're nice but nothing special really,and I sooo wanted to love them :-( But BB gel liner , totally different story : it's my go-to eye liner, whenever I try something else I always get back to it; my favourite colour has to be Graphite Shimmer. And again I can't find Bobbi Brown in Italy :-(
i bought mac gel liners because everyone said they were so good. they dont stay on my lids at all. Now i just stick with liquid whenever i want that look. bummer because i bought brushes just for this stuff. Just not willing to buy another gel liner that will go to waste.
@beyerprep Oh I'm sure you can totally use the brush for something else. I always use change what they say it should be used for ;-P...There is a fantastic drugstore liquid liner I found...it's a dupe for lancome's artliner and it's called styli style and it's about 8 bucks canadian....can't beat that;-D
You're so funny. I can watch part 3 you are so entertaining LOL...Good products that you have chosen. I used a lot of Dior shadows before and wasted money oh well. I was so disappointed with BM it is too dry for me, I don't like pigment shadows too messy for me. I'm afraid to buy another gel liner they dry up on me too fast. I HATE Bare Minerals foundation. The original one just highlights my pores and breaks my forehead out into little bumps because of that bismuth stuff, and the matte one settles into fine lines after a few hours. But, my 16 year old LOVES the matte one-it works really well for her.

It may be the bismuth oxy thingamy in the Bare Escentuals that annoys your skin it seems to be a love it or hate it product, I like it but can only wear it sometimes as I am not always able to buff for as long as Is needed to get the perfect finish :0) xxxJoolsxxx
After you seeing u mention the LM mineral foundation a few times I really want to try it. I really love the jane iredale mineral foundation ( I use the liquid they also have powder), they are not as accessiable as other brands, but if you can get a hold of it, u should definitely try! It is also a skincare makeup brand, so plus to that! thx for all your vids!!

Ooh, I have that Dior palette and I'm in love with it! The texture is so buttery and silky smooth. It has stolen me away from all my other eye shadows lately. But you know it's the only palette from Dior that I like, the others for me were not as good. Anyway I'm really interested in trying some Laura Mercier eye shadows, I'll definitely get one in Topaz, have you tried Gold Dust or Baroque?

The Touche Eclat tends to go "funky" smelling sometimes, ONLY on folks with oilier skin. Dry skin gals never have this problem (I have dry skin and have never had an issue). If you keep the brush washed once or twice a week, you should not have an issue. My best friend with oilier skin has to keep hers washed and she has no issues. : ) Just thought I'd throw that FYI out there.
@dizneydonna Girl I have the driest,most dehydrated skin on the planet!! Plus I'm about as anal as you can get with cleaning and I wiped it with alcohol after one or two uses. I'm definitely not the only one that has had a funky one....I think there are just bad batches out there. I've actually talked to different SA's and not only YSL's and they have all heard about the smell. But I'm sooo glad your doesn't have the same problem...Yay!!

Mine YSL TE has never smelled, having said that, I would not repurchase because I don't think it is a miracle product. I have a lip butter, I use it at night, definitely wouldn't repurchase that. I think my tried and true Blistex works just as well for a fraction. Yanno I have almost been lured by that pink shimmer brick many times but I have resisted. Now I'm glad! I'm not crazy about the Bare Minerals either, same reason. Yay for 2 parts!
Got the same Dior palette and after a few uses,they pretty much end up like the first Chanel you tried way back.A harden film developed over the shadows and you kinda have to scrape the top off to get to the shadow..blahhhhhh!!

I always use change what they say it should be used for ;-P...There is a fantastic drugstore liquid liner I found...it's a dupe for lancome's artliner and it's called styli style and it's about 8 bucks canadian....can't beat that;-D

You're so funny. I can watch part 3 you are so entertaining LOL...Good products that you have chosen. I used a lot of Dior shadows before and wasted money oh well. I was so disappointed with BM it is too dry for me, I don't like pigment shadows too messy for me. I'm afraid to buy another gel liner they dry up on me too fast. I was going to try BB but I think I will stick to the total intensity eye pencil liner, so far so good and way cheaper. Now to part 2...xoxo...Cindy

I so agree on the Dior shadows, way overpriced for a just okay shadow, even though they do beautiful colors. Wear okay but not worth the price.

What it smells..I have to go and check mine now. I don't recall that. Gee..put me on your list for hand me downs..lol. Teasing you. Have you checked out the new MAC lip stains? I have the LM one and love it. I have the BB gold one and it is nice too though. Actually they are about the same for me. Nothing special with the Dior..glad you said so. I was just thinking about it. You like MARC..which ones? Did I miss that? I love the LM better too.

I'm a big fan of Mark e/s I haven't really tried anything else. I believe I talk about it in a few videos...the only I remember for sure is favorite 15 e/s......;-D

I HATE Bare Minerals foundation. The original one just highlights my pores and breaks my forehead out into little bumps because of that bismuth stuff, and the matte one settles into fine lines after a few hours. But, my 16 year old LOVES the matte one-it works really well for her.

It may be the bismuth oxy thingamy in the Bare Escentuals that annoys your skin it seems to be a love it or hate it product, I like it but can only wear it sometimes as I am not always able to buff for as long as Is needed to get the perfect finish :0) xxxJoolsxxx

After you seeing u mention the LM mineral foundation a few times I really want to try it. I really love the jane iredale mineral foundation ( I use the liquid they also have powder), they are not as accessiable as other brands, but if you can get a hold of it, u should definitely try! It is also a skincare makeup brand, so plus to that! thx for all your vids!!

Great video! I also LOVE the Laura Mercier mineral foundation. I actually like it better as it sets into my skin later in the day. Do you use the mineral powder LM primer or any other primer underneath it? Was curious to hear your choice of primer - if any. Thanks! BTW, your approach towards makeup and youtube is very very refreshing!!

oh and the bareminerals was not a hit for me either :P got the same dry patches not really that glowy etc from it :P and I applied it a million dif ways with dif primers etc gotta check out the LM mineral found. thanks!!

Ooh, I have that Dior palette and I'm in love with it! The texture is so buttery and silky smooth. It has stolen me away from all my other eye shadows lately. But you know it's the only palette from Dior that I like, the others for me were not as good. Anyway I'm really interested in trying some Laura Mercier eye shadows, I'll definitely get one in Topaz, have you tried Gold Dust or Baroque?

so far i have not bought any thing you mention- korees is over rated i think-i have a feeling the drug store shimmer brick are the same as bobbi brown-i have always wondered about dior shadows- good its not a a big deal- ewe i hate id bare minerals- used it for 2 yrs it dried it me out!--i had to recover from it-...good there is a part 2~!! x shelly off to click on it

The Touche Eclat tends to go "funky" smelling sometimes, ONLY on folks with oilier skin. Dry skin gals never have this problem (I have dry skin and have never had an issue). If you keep the brush washed once or twice a week, you should not have an issue. My best friend with oilier skin has to keep hers washed and she has no issues. : ) Just thought I'd throw that FYI out there.

@dizneydonna Girl I have the driest,most dehydrated skin on the planet!! Plus I'm about as anal as you can get with cleaning and I wiped it with alcohol after one or two uses. I'm definitely not the only one that has had a funky one....I think there are just bad batches out there. I've actually talked to different SA's and not only YSL's and they have all heard about the smell. But I'm sooo glad your doesn't have the same problem...Yay!!

Mine YSL TE has never smelled, having said that, I would not repurchase because I don't think it is a miracle product. I have a lip butter, I use it at night, definitely wouldn't repurchase that. I think my tried and true Blistex works just as well for a fraction. Yanno I have almost been lured by that pink shimmer brick many times but I have resisted. Now I'm glad! I'm not crazy about the Bare Minerals either, same reason. Yay for 2 parts!

Got the same Dior palette and after a few uses,they pretty much end up like the first Chanel you tried way back.A harden film developed over the shadows and you kinda have to scrape the top off to get to the shadow..blahhhhhh!!
