@Megadedly I don't wish to be mean, but who gives a fuck if it's mainstream? People shouldn't stop listening to bands/songs they like just because they're mainstream :)
Why aren't these guys bigger then they are, they are so good but yet i guess in this world ignorance is bliss and to prove it all i have to say is BMTH seriously fuck at least me and my crew know who they are and all you wonderful people keep it metal, keep it true. \m/
@H3MM04 in the cold of the north they have nothing more to do than become epic music masters....Thank Sweden for almost all the metal I listen to...Opeth topping the list!
I remember seeing these guys at a tiny little event called "Seaside" in Falun quite a few years back, they were good then and have only gotten better since.
Nice to see a band do well for once. Keep it up guys!
This song is hauntingly beautiful, brutal and dynamic all at once. For this to be In Mourning's first full length is astounding. If only we could come to expect this degree of talent and genius in every genre. \m/
There has never been anyone who has impressed me with growling as Christian Alvestam , but d*mn son..........their vocalist has such power in his growls I get blown away hands down :D
Jetzt höre ich das Lied schon zum 17.mal(heute) und es wird immer noch nicht langweilig. es ist einfach komplett abwechslungsreich und der "gesang" :P ist super. Wirklich eins der besten Lieder die existieren.
They can't help but try to gain more attention. They want to sound "modern" so breakdowns is the right way... They could've done and unforgettable album.
So your basically saying its necessary for them to follow trends in a sense to get more fans??? Thats what it seems like your saying, and that is pretty fucking dumb.
Listen smart ass. This albums sounds completely different from the first one. Why? Because they runned out of ideas. There are no memorable riffs, no amazing melodies. So what are they doing then? They deliver a more accesible sound in order to try to hide their lack of passion. I don't wanna say "selling out" cause that's pretty easy to say. YES it's necessary for them because they are no longer good at what they do! Looks like you don't listen to metal at all to be sincere.
I was disappointed at first when it was so different from the first one, but I kind of happen to like this style as well so I don't complain. And only because the first album was better (my personal opinion) doesn't mean that this album is a bad one and only because it's different doesn't mean that they've run out of ideas.. could be that they're just experimenting?
Your fucking trippin dude. Now you explained it in better detail, and I actually agree with you. But I pretty much listen to all forms of metal except for Deathcore/Hardcore shit and I listen to many other genres so don't trip man.
@SoullessOpeth Opeth is my favorite band so i like your taste, but man are you spewing a lot of hate. The first album did sound more natural flowing, but they really didn't stray too far off from that sound.I mean c'mon.. The riff at 1:00 is totally their old style. Same with the riff afterwards. If you're pissed that they used a lot of breakdowns on this cd well that might just have been a choice they wanted to try out. If anything though I hear way more melody in this album.
God i love how much this one song has developed over time. I remember the band putting up a video of a rehearsal for this song (early stages) on their myspace blog. Simply amazing.
