Not allowing a supposed "Gay Straight Alliance", is the right thing for the school to do. This school is obviously intact with and upholds Catholic teachings and morals, which not many schools do today.
whats wrong now (in the present western world) is that the belief is being "changed". So many theists choose only to "change" the belief, instead of asking themselfe this """Why would a God even be homophobic""":
Sounds like canada needs a little more separation of church and state. I think the catholic religion has the right to disagree with homosexuality no matter how ridiculous and unreasoned the belief is, but not if they are doing it on the public dime.
They typically think homosexuality is "like" paedophilia. I know it's ridiculous, but that is what I hear over and over whenever bigoted people think that I'm a safe audience for their prejudices.
As others have mentioned, the voice changer on the last speaker is a bit heavy -- to the point of being unintelligible. You might want to try some other effects or tweak the settings a bit.
Also, (very minor) you said "LGBT gay", which is redundant considering the G in LGBT stands for gay ;-P
@SixxHundredSixtySixx Derrrrr Don't I feel a fool. I regularly switch between headphones & speakers. I failed to push the speakers jack fully in. RED face here!
Why did you specify "LGBT gay" when discussing the suicide rates? Is there some evidence that trans teens are less likely to commit suicide than gay teens? I thought it was actually the reverse.
Yes, I know. But you specified "LGBT gay" rather than just saying "LGBT". It sounded like you were saying that the suicide rates of gay teens were more than bi or trans teens.
Yes I did mis-speak. I'm used to saying TBLGAY which stands for Trans bi lesbian gay association of York, because that is the Queer Positive campus group. Sorry for the confusion
Did you already know that for the better part of a decade now Ontario's Catholic school system has been found by the UN human rights commission to be in violation of freedom of religion on the grounds that government funding is offered ONLY to catholic schools?
@MichaelPayton67 Looks interesting Mike. Quick question since I am not aware of this until the video; what stance has the Ontario government given since there are obvious conflicts between Catholic ideology and the stance of rights within the province, which are complicated by the constitutional mandate to fund these school boards.
I think we can add subtitles. The issue is that "Deep Cross" is a Queer member of the Catholic School Board and is extremely scared to speak out... we had to do as much as possible to mask identity.
It might just be easier, clearer, and more anonymous to get an "actor" (which could mean anyone else) to reenact the interview than to disguise the insider's actual voice (?).
The irony here is that quite a few men of the gay community are gay because Catholic Priests molested and raped them as children!

@AcidRain64 Perhaps it was meant as a translation, although the acronym is in comon usage, as in LGBT( Gay).

Michael, there's something wrong with the audio. It seems to be only coming out of the left channel.

I hope you're able to fix the audio of the informant in future videos. I couldn't make out a word of what the person was saying.

too long intro.

I completely agree with you. Given the suicide rates in LGBT teens, abandoning them to be bullied is more "anti-Christian" than embracing them.
