Why dont we just pass simple legislation to stop insurance companies from denieing coverage, instead of spending another trillion dollars on a government controled health care plan. Or just make medicaid more available. Those are simple effective ideas. I think there is some other agenda to Obamacare.
If you just do that then your insurance cost will jump up a lot. Do you really believe that insurance companies will give up their profit? Or you can't stop denials for preexisting health problems because in this case nobody will want to carry insurance until they get ill. So you have to make insurance mandatory but you can't unless you provide AFFORDABLE option.
To be fair spending another trillion dollars will raise inflation on everything and taxes are estimated to rise above the cost of insurance. I pay 28 dollars a week and have good coverage. Of course the insurance companies wont want to lose profits, but they would have no choice if it was law. Im all in favor of reform, but not like this. Government should just regulate costs and conditions not take over. The system we have is greedy, no doubt. But this plan will cost us more in the end.

If 25M voluntarily uninsured 18-44 years of age are required to be insured, at $4K a pop that's $100B needed right there. Illegals will always get emergency room care, that's why making them employed & insured puts them in with the rest of us. Letting US insurance co's pay for medical procedures in India/Thailand at 25 cents on the dollar could cut costs. Or just make medicaid more available. Those are simple effective ideas. I think there is some other agenda to Obamacare.

If you just do that then your insurance cost will jump up a lot. Do you really believe that insurance companies will give up their profit? Or you can't stop denials for preexisting health problems because in this case nobody will want to carry insurance until they get ill. So you have to make insurance mandatory but you can't unless you provide AFFORDABLE option.

To be fair spending another trillion dollars will raise inflation on everything and taxes are estimated to rise above the cost of insurance. I pay 28 dollars a week and have good coverage. Of course the insurance companies wont want to lose profits, but they would have no choice if it was law. Im all in favor of reform, but not like this. Government should just regulate costs and conditions not take over. The system we have is greedy, no doubt. But this plan will cost us more in the end.
