  • If I am not mastken the transmission on these like to fail? I have a hard trusting that since my uncle has a 04 expedition fully loaded lariat that has some place in the bar park of 270K on it and has had NO work done to it other than a tune up, and it has just now started to slip alittle. My dad drove it last month and said it still was tight on the road.

  • @GmTruckCarLove These use a 6AT vs the 04 which still used a 4AT. To be honest, no one should be too surprised if a tranny starts slipping at 200K lol

  • @Intechdude300 I did know that. Lol I read someplace that these like to copy Chrysler's 45RE so much. Lol I love my uncles expadition and I hope he will give it to me when it here 300K. It does not even burn oil!

  • at 3:10 if you the arm rest fold the middle seat and there you go and you don't seem to know much about the Lincoln navigator L

  • The rev counter looks really ugly, :(

  • @24MartinONDS Yeah Ford Needs to update the Navi & Expedition pronto :D I hear a refresh is coming along with the new 5.0L V8 & Ecoboost TTV6 :)

  • You must not know much about real trucks or there engines its not the hp that makes them what they are its the torque! I have an 07 navi pulls 8,000 pounds like theres nothing back there!

  • @njf207

And yet the new 5.0 Coyote V8 with less displacement makes more HP, More Torque, & better fuel efficiency than the old 5.4L.The 3.5L Ecoboost V6 engine is also the same story tho because of the TwinTurbo, it can deliver full torque at lower RPM & Oh yeah did I forget to mention it also delivers more HP & torque than both the 5.4L & 5.0L but except the 6.2L which is only ahead of the Ecoboost engine by a few Ft lbs of Torque & HP but the 6.2L is a pure overkill gas guzzler

  • @njf207 the expedition EL has a higher towing capacity with the tow package the navigator has 8500 the all the way expedition has 9200 with tow package

  • What is Ford planning to do with the Expedition and Navigator? They are both in need of a serious over haul and they have the powertrains to do that but they seem to be dragging their feet. I guess they are trying to figure out if they should redesign it or just kill it since gas prices are soo high right now. Im sure these cost over 100 bucks now to fill up o_0

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

Oh yeah just about 100 now LOL, I here a redesign is in the works for 2013 & possibly adding the new engines b4 that which this and the E-series are all whats carrying the old 5.4L its its a waste to keep making it now. Theres still people out there who need a fullsize SUV that can tow heavy loads but I dont think Ford will produce such large volumes as they did in the past.

  • 300 sounds like plenty, I know it's heavy, but still.. my 88 Linc's 5.0 is only rated at 150 (which sounds terrible) or supposably 160 cuz it has true duals, & it'll roast the tires

  • @JakeDaSnakeFilms

Its not bad but with better engines offered, it could've been better. Imagine the new 5.0L under the hood as the Base engine & the Ecoboost 3.5L as the top engine. More competitive, Increase MPG's, Power, & sophistication. And with a redesign which its seriously due for, they can still keep that market alive but it wont be as big.

  • Like.....3....4 mpg?

  • These things are big.

  • nice truck...lots of features. hows it compare to an escalade. I see the steering wheel is clean on this one.

  • @shocktrooper1000

I would rather the Navi because of the Independent Rear, slightly better interior quality. Navi just lacks HP & its seriously in need of some new sheet metal & the new updated engines, redone interior, & the new engines like found in the F-150. I've driven the 07 Tahoe's, & 03-07 expeditions & the Expedition had tight steering & a much better ride that is almost carlike.

  • Hey man good video, but im pretty sure the offfical name is navigator "L" not "El" as is stated in your titel

  • @TheAuto101 el is extended length not the model

  • @carguy379 he is right. its officially called the "Navigator L". "EL" is what you call the extended expedition. I don't think it matters though because we get the basic idea.

  • @carguy379

i know its extended lenght, but the model, the actual extended length model, is called the "L". So just stfu cause he changed the title anyways.

    Thanks intecdude300

  • sounds i little bit like your knockin it more than doin the review. all cars no matter where its from have "plastic shit".

and we had 2 navigators. an 05 and 07. the engine's is Not "weak" all the balls were there.

  • @northsiderollers

Its not a weak engine but it lacks behind every1 else. HEck, even the new 5.0L shouldve been stashed under the hood by now & its more powerful. I've driven many Navi's it definitely needs more umpf

  • @Intechdude300 well for one thing like the new 4 engines in the F-150. they get new ones all the time. everyone does it. so no more 5.4 eventually. BUT for the time being. this is wats in it. and we dont need any more than 300. 403HP is a lot but who is gonna use that? no one. states are broke are gonna wright u a ticket doin 5mph or over. so u cant drive with that anyway. so that 403HP in the escalade is just almost sitting there. we looked at the escalade and navi has better features IMO

  • @northsiderollers

Its not only the matter of having only 300 HP, it's way beyond that. Aside from more power, you receive refined engines & better fuel economy in which ford cant do much or wont do anymore to improving the ancient 5.4.

I prefer the Navi over the Escalade anyday just because of the independent rear suspension & better interior. And I said that to some1 else here already. Not that the 5.4 is a bad engine but its the weakest point of the Navi.

  • @Intechdude300 not really ancient. and i know the new ones give u wat more power and mpg. i seen em. and they wont b/c they moved to the ecoboosts and the 5.0. the other 2 in the F-150. and 6.2 could be in superduty. and the 2011 5.4 navigator gets 14 city and 20 hwy. and the escalade gets 13 city and 20 hwy. escalade has 26 gal tank. navi has 28 gal tank. btw i heard they might redesign the navi in 2013 or 2014

  • @northsiderollers

I'm well aware of the Navi, I bought a few for clients myself & driven all the years since 98 model. I'm following that report too of the future lincoln lineup

  • Nice SUV, looks like the best quality Ford product I've seen (at least that's new)

  • @talldude123 almost all the new fords have better interiors than this, like he taurus, focus, explorer, etc

  • @talldude123 are you kidding? have you seen the 2011s?

  • @steve9509 No, but I'd imagine they would be of worse quality, just from what I've seen of other brand's new car offerings.

  • @talldude123 well you should look at them then there very nice
