  • That awkward moment when someone makes a joke but someone else doesn't realise it's a joke and comments as if it wasn't a joke

  • He's moving so fast that it looks like he's not moving at all!

  • @MrPotatoLamp That awkward moment when...

    ...it's actually a picture.

When I hear this, I picture them buzzing about the flowers and stuff. :D

  • my mind= (O.O)

  • I think "Flight of the Bumblebee" becomes alive when one no longer hears a violin but a bee. Mr. Perlman has attained and brilliantly played the sound of the latter. Bravo!

  • Nicely done.

  • I met this guy. I m not pulling anyones chain

  • my arm would fall off............ all of my work up to grade 4 would br ruined

  • he doesnt even have to move to play this lol

  • is that violin over 18?

  • @Spackhead1 i get ur joke lol, but its more like around 290 years old-ish lol

  • how can i tell if he really played it?

  • my sister broke her d string lol dont know how think during pizzicato lol, she is just learning and attempted this not her best moment no, Ive been playing for four years and this is very very very diffucult with such speed, he is wicked amazing though :)

  • I once knew someone who played this on a saxophone- that blew my mind. but i like the violin better

  • This piece isn't actually that hard. It is only hard when you play it at the speed Itzak

Most of it is the same rhythm and it is the same monotonous cycle. I am not downing this piece it is a great one. It is just that it isn't as hard as everyone says it is. I could play it at about 140 right now.

  • @Pvviolinist Yes, but he's playing the song at its intended speed. WOW.

  • @Boogawes Yes, he can play it WAY faster than 140 and it makes it sound impossible, but like I said it is not.

  • god said let there be rock and there was itzhak perlman...

  • @elderredbaron We said let there be rock and God said i'll do you one better

  • 7 ppl who disliked this video are jealous that they cant feel the true beauty when they listen to this song

  • Who the hell disliked this?!?! One of the greatest Violin players of all time!

  • @donovanj2005 him and andre rieu!! ;)

  • Altro che quel culattone di Garrett!!!

  • It's pieces like this that make me glad I chose viola. No one ever transcribes for viola :)

  • @insomniaofinsanity watch?v=GGkgAPmTr_c I know it's a different arrangement, but this piece was arranged for viola, too. lol

  • He's probably really good at masturbating...

  • @Fail2life hahaha!! I have great respect for this man, but your comment cracked me up!!

  • @Fail2life pls leave your ridiculous comments away from great videos like these. instead try appreciating what you hear!

  • You guys are talking about Chuck Norris..Vladimir Putin is Russian AND he's Chuck Norris' father. Get yer facts straight, gaiz. >BU

  • drug are for ding dongs

  • Personally, I'd like to know what that bumblebee's been sniffing...

  • I dont get it... David Garett got the "world record" for doing this the fastest at 1: 16 seconds but this recording is about less then 1:10 seconds long counting only the violin part...

  • @MegaDrumRoll he didn't do the whole song. He missed the run dawn at the beginning. David Garett did the run down when he did it for the record

  • Comment removed

  • @MegaDrumRoll And perlman sounds a whole lot better

  • @supaduner Chuck Norris just has to think about this song and it plays.

  • @supaduner xDDD of course!

  • @supaduner Sorry, Chuck doesn't need a triangle to play this... just the beater.

  • @supaduner There aren't a lot of comments that make me literally laugh out loud, but this was one.

  • @supaduner Chuck Norris only needs to use his mind to play this.

  • @supaduner Chuck Norris can SNAP HIS FINGERS to this.

  • Comment removed

  • who disliked this?

  • @BCagent10 Bieber fans.

  • @AnaTheQueen Agreed.

  • lol I have always wondered where this came from. This is so awesome and funny in a way.

  • I couldn't even play Flight of the Slug

  • @mahlstadt trololol

  • So, why didn't this guy get the world record violin speed? O_o lol

  • @deanxleong Because David Garrett did, he played it faster. It's funny you should say that, actually, because David was his student.

  • @cuterainbowfish hahah ah!

well.. i forgot how fast that dude was. xD

  • ....and first of all: Other than this David Parrot Perlman plays it with the fiddle in - between his knees...

  • my fingers are hurting from playing this D:

  • Spicatto and not stacatto.. ( your wrong )

  • @PerenyiMiklosFan1 yeah, i thought so :)

  • milysnow

Ha you're completely off. David Garret played this in 1:05. But this guy is good too!

  • @9999poppy garret is faster, but perlman is better. and i think that perlman could play it faster.

  • @David0794 i think Perlman didnt play it faster 'cause that would ruin the whole music sheet. :)

  • wow, 9 seconds off of the world record, and i bet he wasn't even trying...............

  • Are you sure this is Perlman?

  • those 7 dislikes were probably Heifetz.

  • omg he is sooooooo slow ... lol

man this man is a genius !!!!

  • @ItzhakRoxMySox: Yes. Because Itzhak is God. He just is.

  • 7 jealous and wingless bumblebees

  • One question: who is the composer for this peice?

  • @lynnsaq Isn't it beethoven... i think, not sure

  • @lynnsaq Nikolai rimsky-korsakov.

  • We are not listening to Garrett, we're listening to Perlman! Damn.

You can compare two musicians, they are both great in some way. So there!

  • yeh i can play that... except mine goes for 3 minutes

  • 6 people are hornets

  • Comment removed

  • Wonderful... The violin's timbro reminds so much the bumblebee's one.... Wondeful rendition!

  • itchy one.. i`m out!

  • 6 People got stung

  • i love the way he plays but i hate this song....deeply...

  • he was faster than that guinese record guy.... he played this in 1min53 or something. perlman's faster!!

  • @milysnow Um, no. David Garret Played it in 1 min 5.26 seconds... not 1 min 53. Perlman isn't faster...

  • @EruantienDeasar Not here. But he is better. When you take out the 3 second piano intro and the final 8 seconds of silence on this video, you'll see it took Perlman 1:08 for that walk in the park. Itzhak could play faster than that Garrett kid if he picked his violin up when he gets out of bed in the morning.

  • @ItzhakRoxMySox Garret plays the intro as well as the lead line. He takes about 2 seconds to play the intro so you could argue that Garret played it in about 1 min 3 seconds. Don't get me wrong, Perlman is brilliant and I prefer this to Garret's breakneck recording. I was just correcting a mistake.

  • @EruantienDeasar Well, what you said is, "Perlman isn't faster..." No, Perlman isn't faster HERE. If Itzhak wanted to (or pretty much any legendary violinist, for that matter), he could play faster than Garrett, AND play it better and more musically.

  • @EruantienDeasar who cares? when perlman played this i don't think he was aiming for speed, but more for quality

  • I was trying to dance to this song, i'm pretty sure ya'll know how that ended up ;)

  • @TheLadySylvanas he is

  • 6 people dont know what a bumblebee is

  • @superjew1000 His bow is bouncing off the string. Or so it sounds. I could be wrong.

  • @nick9809 To me it sorta sounds like his plucking the stings(with his fingers) in some parts =/

  • @TheLadySylvanas he is

  • @deanxleong lol that's my point. He's going off the string.

  • @nick9809 whats off the string?

  • this sounds more like spiccato, not staccato. he's definitely off the string. not staccato.

  • @nick9809 Spiccato is playing off the string though. Lol

  • @nick9809 um plaease tell me what does off the string mean?

  • Anyone know where to find this version of flight of the bumblebee for violin. I can never find it...

  • Cool. I've added this to my youtube channel of VIOLIN favorites of classical, rock, bluegrass, Cajun, jazz and more genres, some of which you've probably never even imagined. Check 'em out via the blue link below to the left.

  • That dude looks like the old dude on Fringe. (Never really watched it much, so I forget his name.

  • Incredible staccato... I can't even... I don't know anything anymore

  • Holy staccato! Oh my worddd!

  • one word three letters WOW :) genius :)

  • Suck it David Garret

  • I have to play THAT for my violin teacher? Oh Lord, I'm doomed.

  • @burgerandfriez good luck

  • @burgerandfriez it's not that bad... if your violin teacher told you to play this it means you can probably play it, the piece sounds hard but really isn't, it dosn't have those dramatic jumps, most of it are just chromatic scales, most of the paganini are alot harder than this.

  • @burgerandfriez Me too, but I'm not doomed. It's actually pretty easy if you do it slowly note by note.

  • @burgerandfriez We're 6 months later, how did it go ? :p

  • @MsOMyGosh Not very well... XD

  • @burgerandfriez poor you xp

  • @burgerandfriez Learn it slowly, then you can speed it up as you get better at it =) Although I doubt your violin teacher expects you to be able to play THAT fast!

  • for speed lovers check leonidas kavakos

  • holy monkey testicular cancer. That's pretty good.

  • Ah. A true musical masterpiece. I've only heard this song at slightly slower tempos, used for cartoon purposes, but nothing trumps originality.

  • The 4 people who dislike this video have brains the size of bumblebees

  • amasing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The 4 dislikes are wasps.

  • He's such amazing I love it. :D

  • Ive seen the violin score and well...its inhuman ._.

  • I taught him that

  • @SteakandSoda chuck norris did but chuck norris playis it at 1000bpm

  • @DrPsymotion And with one hand only.. :)

  • @SteakandSoda f**k best comment i saw

  • =)

  • im willing to try do this!!!! and im probably gonna fail

  • omg! i play violin and this seems impossible !

  • what the? he beat David Garret's record!

  • @yozelynjmz not in terms of speed and i'm sure he won't want to play that fast since it is tasteless

  • @yozelynjmz Who's David Garret?!I don't know any great violinist with this name.

  • @yozelynjmz Then check out ben lee. Hes got the record. He kicks David garretts ass.

  • This is not staccato but sautillé. Staccato is something different

  • perfect ._.!!

  • amazing....awesome the sound is really like the flight of the bumblebee

    what an inspiration

    what a mind........awesome

    what a musician,and composer

i trully admire him the most

  • Absolutely beautiful!!! The pizz. is so clear!!!! Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you know this piece isn't actually that hard to play, in that the progression of the song isn't that hard, its the speed at which its played. You need YEARS of practice to get your fingers to move that fast.

  • Éste es el maestrazo. Simplemente extraordinario.

  • 3 people must be gay, retarded, or i can`t name it ...what kind of people are they? how can someone dislike this? my gosh...

  • @dzsimihendriksz

    they are jealous

  • @dzsimihendriksz

Please, don't use insults and homophobic slurs under an Itzhak Perlman video. I am sure he would not appreciate it,especially since one of his daughters is lesbian.Ironic that some of the greatest artist that contributed to the cultural world heritage called music happen to be gay and yet you tarnish that with your homophobia.

  • anything faster then this sucks. it is pretty awesome watching david garret's speed though. Still he kinda broke it. Aint sounding no good no more

  • garrett blows cock

  • didnt garrett break a very valuable violin? i think it was a strad (but dont quote me on that im not sure). anyways, whoever breaks a strad should be broken

  • @Imxtoeknee yes he accidentally broke his very expensive violin but luckily he got it fixed. it wasnt his fault that he tripped and happened to be holding it!

  • ....I will never be able to play that.

  • @XxkawaiiwriterxX don't say that! if u really want something u can do it!

  • loveeeeeeeeeeeee*-*

  • I'm pretty sure this is impossible. oh wait never mind, it's Itzhak Perlman playing!

  • Amazing! The best tone in the world!

  • For all of you that haven't been playing violin since you were little tots, flight of the Bumblee's actually pretty easy and this actually isn't as fast as a lot of people take it. I watched Garrett's "World Speed Record" and was just like, "uhh, so?" World Records aren't always what they're cracked up to be. Perlman could own Garrett and I'm pretty sure he knows that.

  • @Ismellboogers -its easy because its mainly chromatic, which is the easiest of the scales in my opinion.

  • buzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • i want to play dat on my violin T__T

  • Don't go that mad bout David Garrett. i mean he learned at Perlman! So he gotta be good somehow.. each one has its own style of plaing something... dont go judging.

  • @jazzzabout jazz, the only thing David Garrett can do is publicize about how fast he can play things. That is not a style. There are lots of people who can play just as fast as he can, but with musicality, making them have a style. Please learn to distinguish an artist and a showsman

  • @MusicCloud1 actually thats not the whole truth..cause you cannot play Vivaldi or Mendelssohn fast. So you mean he has no musicality? well,I guess he does have but i wont argue. he may be a showman but thats also sort of what the media make out of him - think of nigel kennedy and all the others especially lang lang...no one would ever know them without having been on tv somewhere...well, anyway i guess you're not really a musician to understand this and i cannot explain it with the right words

  • lol david garrett

perlman could own him if he wanted to.

if it's portrayed too fast, all musical quality is lost.

  • Well you see...Perlman is in it for the art of the art. Garrett, not so much.

  • its like a real bee

  • I heard that if you don't start before age 10 you have no chance of ever being this good. do you guys think that's true?

  • @bobsagget6666 that's not true if you really have the determination and a music lover you can really achieve it...and has a willing to success

  • @bobsagget6666 hell no? lol

  • @bobsagget6666 age has little to do with it. Sure most of the musical "prodigies" start before age 10, but that has nothing to do with it. Example, I picked up the trombone in 8th grade beginning band. In 9th grade I was first trombonist in a very good high school jazz band. It's all determination and perserverance.
