Saw them live in Jax, FL. Awesome show! The golden era of VH died when DLR left the band. Rock has not been the same for me since then.

I could be wrong, but that is what it sounds like. Of course that would predate Fair Warning from the previous year. Anyone else have an opinion on this? ROCK ON!!!

I saw the Fair Warning tour when it was in Oakland 2 nights in a row. Dave wasnt drunk he kicked ass. They all did it was a flawless well executed show. The music was the best even though the critics hated it....I Loved those Shows

@ricadrew Agreed! But for those that try to talk down the Van Halen/Roth era (Sammy fans!), don't know music period!!! This is what made Van Halen VAN HALEN!!!!! I get fed up of these naysayers trying to put their case as that Van Halen with Hagar was better. I got news for them! In the late 80's there were lagit rumours going around that Alex & Eddie were thinking about getting Roth back. Why? Because Van Halen couldn't match the Roth era, album & tour wise, & was a big concer for Eddie & Alex.

Cause ur lame I was 11 saw this tour in san Diego !!! first concert for me !! Still the best show I ever saw. !! metallica in '91 was a very close 2nd !!!! What a night. 11 years old blow my mind. Never forget it.

@nicknasty14 Nick! - I couldn't agree more.....Women and Children Fist set the stage, then Fair Warning came and blew us all away - they were #1 - no question.

Diver Down was a get in - get out - they'll eat anything - feed 'em beans - shit take to get 'em out on tour again record.

'1984' was o.k. - showed their arrogance at being the best band of their time -

Then they were gone......

The original line up definitely peaked on this one!

A record for every hard rock collection to have.

@lzrb Great moments on al albums including Diver Down. My take on DD is that it was half covers. The originals .- al of them are the best songs on the album and are as amazing as anything of the Dave years. Fair Warning is my fave. It's how VH should sound with Mikeys bass properly in the mix where u can hear it. Makes the whole band sound better. 84 had awesome moments. Side 2 of 84 ( GIrl Gone Bad in particular) is MONEY. YOu can sense the tension that eventually breaks orig VH
