see at 1:09... The script itself controls the leds, by default I set 'em OFF. they switch on when I adjust the volume UP (rightmost leds) and volume DOWN (leftmost leds).
Just a quick question about the laptop itself, Where are the speakers? The only thing I know for sure is the Subwoofer on the bottom but the speakers, are they at the front where the mediabuttons are? or are the speakers those 2 things at each side of the keyboard?
WHat bluetooth adapter did you use? a built-in one or a usb one? I'm going to buy this laptop too and I was wondering if the wiimote is compatible with Dell's built-in bluetooth.
The built-in one. It's around 1 year past now, btw it's fully compatible and I tested a range of about 40 mt between wiimote and laptop, maybe distance could be greater.
Im just getting sick of waiting to get my damn XPS GRRRRRRRR now i need to wait another month to return my old laptop which i didnt really like as much as this one. and + to make it worse i have to wait 2 damn weeks :(.
it doesnt matter, he could have the wii turned on. and some one with a remote doing the things. by the way, did you forget that the wiimote needs a sensor. where is it here??
no, the wiimote needs 2 infared emmiters, bull shitter. the wiimote operates using bluetooth, so if you have a blue tooth card in your computer, you can connect to the wii mote using the right software.
,for the infared (in far red, however you want to say it) you only need to candles, or infared lights.
but this is only if you want a pointer. You can use the gyroscopes in the wiimore to gesture. the wii-mote is way more advanced than the six axis, and is 20$ cheaper.
I wouldn't bother arguing with morons like this. We know it works, we are the ones with a tidy windows remote, we are the ones happy! Is there any chance you could include the script though?
It's a simple script used into GlovePIE program that convert wii event buttons and wii accelerometer data into Keyboard input. So i.e. the 'A' wii-button is transformed into 'CTRL' + 'P' event (Play)

see leds are switching on @ 1:09
The script I wrote turn leds off by default.
Please read description and comments below

ohh. well how does it work?
Kamikaze8er 2 years ago
It uses the program GlovePIE, where you can create scripts to react wii-mote (or other peripherals) gestures.
In this case, blue leds switch on only when I adjust the volume UP (rightmost leds) and volume DOWN (leftmost leds).

yes, speakers are on front side (one on left and one on right of center media-buttons). btw in this video I'm using external speakers
phoenixbf 3 years ago
As I thought, but some site said the speakers where those things at both sides of the keyboard. What are they for actually for? ventilation?
DsSiege11 3 years ago
If you are talking about upper right and upper left of the keyboard, yes, they are actually for ventilation

Nice, I read somewhere that there were some issues with the Wiimote and the built-in Dell bluetooth. But it works, that's great!

You Can Tell Its not fake if you look at the side of the controller the player 3/4 lights go on when he makes gestures so hes not faking it

DAMN IT!
Do u understand words 'ACCELEROMETER' and 'INFRARED' are totally different?
I'm using the ACCELEROMETER SENSOR, there is NO NEED FOR IR, that for instance is totally turned off here.
So, go back and google for wiimote, read tech descriptions, and search ACCELEROMETER, so u'll understand what is and how it works.
U'll finally understand why IR (and IR sensor, or candles or other shit lights of course) isnt needed here.

good job, the accelerometers are harder to program, I haven't tried them yet.

where can i get this script
j2kalways 4 years ago
i have wii and theres a sensor bar, right!?! so where is it in the video i cant find it. its pretty big so why cant i see it.
tongst3r 4 years ago
Simply because I'm NOT using IR (so no sensor bar).
I'm using Accelerometer.

this isn't fake it's easy to do and if it's fake then the guys an idiot because it'd be easier to actually do this than to fake it.
