I really want to upgrade from my 2000 avalon Grande, to a 2007-2011 aurion presara, but I think the prices are still too high. The problem is, there are LOTS of these cars, they are selling really well, and the model run has been over 5 years, it is very due for a new model. When it is released in a year or so, the market will be swamped even more. And prices of aurion 2006-2012 will drop alot. So I will wait until then.

Recently bought an 07 aurion prodigy [deluxe model] for a friend for $18000 on road, a fabulous car it gave an amazing 7.8 lt per 100 ks at an average 110 kph.The only torque steer noticable was at full noise taking off on a bend then only slight. Power comfort build qualty 5 star saftey huge boot ,get to know one then post comparrisions. All that said i still wouldn`t part with my 250000k v8 lexus

good thing with the aurion is that when the car is going in a straight line, the steering is shock absorbed so the car is stable at high speeds, but when you start turning it goes back to unshockabsorbed power steering :D very good car plenty of power. Good work Toyota.

@parabpbpbp Not really, S keeps the car in the same gear when you lift of the throttle.

For example, in Drive, if your in 3rd gear and lift of the throttle, it will shift into 4th or 5th. In S, lift of the throttle and it will stay in gear ( theoretically anyway).

@trendkill777 drive is usually used for passive driving e.g. long distance highway trips, S or sports tends to open up the throttle and shift up closer to the rev line, most cars are like that these days like the VE model holdens they go much faster in Sports mode.

Not bad i recently bought an 08 ZR6 Aurion and they are a nice car, previous car b4 i had was a Subaru Liberty..Yess i will miss the AWD and quick launches but the aurion is in another class of its own and currently im pushn out 207KW on my new baby :D

So earlier this year i bought a new SV6 195. It sounds fantastic, the motor just keeps going right unti 7000rpm redline and theres alot of character to it. Sounds balls when its being driven hard as well. The aurion sounds similar but the SV6 is throatier, deeper

@limtedouche Na, the 6 speed auto in the Aurion is far better. I have driven two Falcons with the ZF, one was a XR6, the other a G6E Turbo. Drove both on the same day. We tried those before buying Aurions. The ZF didnt change well with the turbo, it would hold gears at the rev limit when you got the boot in making a big pause in acceleration, and get confused when backing off the gas from full throttle. Not a smooth auto at all, very primitave compared to the Aurions 6 speed.

We have both 2008 Aurion & 2008 Avalon & just by setting in both of them, you can tell that Avalon is much better than Aurion specially by looking to the interior material quality... Performance looks similar to the non-TRD version (I'd be surprised if it is) - 9.9L/100KM is achievable - I own one of these babies and I've had it running as low as 8.2l/100km on the highway (gentle driving)

They can drink lots if you put your foot down, but they can be very efficient if you don't.

Though I am not lucky enough to be able to afford one (in other words cant afford a car really at all at the moment) it looks like a great all-round car and certainly formidable competition for its main competitors here in Australia the Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore. Those cars both have their good points but the Aurion seems much more sensible and you dont really sacrifice much of what makes the other cars great.
