Hi, Heaven, it's Felicia from the ORG. I was just browsing seahorse videos when I found yours! I recognize that ship wheel. I got one for my seahorses after I saw your pics. That's a great video, I love the part where they were on the seashell dancing!
I've posted here before, so I'm repeating myself, but this video is like a tonic for me. It makes me happy. I'm now a few steps closer to getting my marine tank set up; eventually I'll post a video reply but it will never come close to the beauty of this tank!
This was the most beautiful aquarium I've ever seen. Off Puget Sound, I caught a seahorse while floating on a log. It looked all hard and bony but it was surprisingly, very soft. I've loved them ever since. Magnificent bundles of grace and love.
Thank you! I'd LOVE to see the wild seahorses in their natural habitats one day. They are delicate to hold, and you can feel the vibration in the water off of their fins. It is delicate too! It's magnificent!
How very interesting. What a mysterious, and adorable little creature. I've always loved them, and did not know you could own them like this. Thanks very much for the post.
Hi again. I'm just wondering how much gallons-per-hour flow your seahorses can withstand, as I notice you have them in with corals? I'd like to have a tank like yours as I said earlier, it's so lovely. But I'm worried about too much gph. Doesn't look like your ponies have a problem!
Hi alix. I'm using a Rena FilStar XP4 canister filter. It goes up to 450gph, but the turnover is set to about 300-350 in a 44g tall tank (30x12x30) with diverted flow. Current is moderate. As long as the *seahorse-safe corals* can adapt to low or moderate flow, all of the inhabitants should be fine. You'd get some really great information about setup and care over at the forum at seahorse *dot* org if you're interested. Thanks for asking, and best of luck!
Fantastic!

The seahorses look like they're having fun. I can imagine them saying "Whoo hoo! there's party going on here." :)

Nice video and sound, next time maybe put a black cloth up behind you so we don't get to see your camera or the windows?

They are so beautiful! I've been wanting to get some of my own but I heard that they are very fragile creatures and hard to maintain.
I love your aquarium :)

Not too terribly hard so long as you're set up right. :)
Thanks for the compliments. My tank was in a bit of a messy "new tank syndrome" stage when they felt like doing their jig.
