If you can't Love yourself, You have no hope.... So there fore Love yourself
. Being transsexual is actually really cool. Most intelligent group of people per cap. in the world.. I wouldn't wish this upon anyone yet I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Excellent advice! I think it ties in with another topic you've covered elsewhere - acceptance (and objectification come to think of it). Once you accept yourself, IMHO it takes away the power of others to upset you.
I've also found that when I challenge people about the way they're behaving towards me, they (not always but often) start to see me as a person and not an object. And once that happens then the insults tend to stop. Of course I'm not including here those who are being aggressive.
You're SO right: Personal acceptance and confidence makes all the difference. I've totally noticed that people WILL react to you very differently depending on how YOU feel about yourself at any given moment. Rock on! Enjoy your vids. I'm 6 months into HRT and can really relate to this topic. Thanks for posting.
Christianity and Islam may well fade. But if we are to see tolerance and respect for all people, we need liberalism and true acceptance of all people, not just the absence of God.
... and those 'in-between' were no longer natural beings, but "abhorrent", "freaks", and "defected". Science became the new morality, the new form of judgment.
Of course, the question remains, is Christianity tolerant? Certainly not, in many respects, at least, in some forms of the religion. But let's be fair; far worse sins than trans-mockery have been justified in the name of atheism, and indeed, Buddhism, Hinduism, and many other non-Western religions that Westerners seem to forget about.
... that between a man and his wife, even as self-proclaimed 'traditional' Christians today judge anything more romantic than a "what's up" between two guys as bordering on sodomy. No, what killed tolerance was not Christianity, it was the black-and-white attitude of the Enlightenment which found its peak in modernism; that familiar yet arrogant concept that one can define others by strict demarcations between what is right and wrong. At that point, God went out the window; 'men' , 'women', ...
The thing is, even Christianity was in the past never that against what would be today in conservative circles be considered 'transgressive' gender identities. Eunuchs found a sense of purpose in Christianity that they never had, been considered 'half-men', in the predominant culture of the time. Strong same-sex relationships, even in the apparently intolerant Middle Ages, were held in high regard, and indeed in the Bible itself the love between some men is described as being greater than ..
You speak of a very valid and universal truth. If you don't love yourself for who you are first and foremost, how can anybody else pick up on the positive qualities that radiate from you? Like you said, stand your ground against those who are tainted by fear towards what they don't understand, or more importantly, what they're too ignorant and closed-minded to bother understanding. Unfortunately, those types of people will always exist, so don't stoop to their level.
I´ll enjoy my first time. I´ll dress a bit too feminin, and´ll burn that outfitt ritually
as part of my spiritual adolescence.
Risk physical harm... you mean theirs, gorgous^^? I´ll wear a beutifull hairneedle once belonged to my granny. I wanted to dance. Guess what i learned instead?
I'll follow with a video later today, though I just wanted to say that your comments were pretty spot-on!! People need to be happy with themselves in order for others to respect them. That's something that I've started to learn in the last 18 months and I've been feeling a much better person for it. Sad thing is though that in some parts of Australia it can be extremely dangerous for LGBT peeps, esspecially those of us who are Trans, regardless of comfort levels.
Thanks for the subject/vids both. Being in the closet mostly, it is something that keeps my mind busy. You are both beautiful but even if you weren't, there is nothing to be ashamed of. So, now put my money where my mouth is ....
I appreciate your point and I think its a positive message, I too believe in standing your ground but I also believe in picking your fights-some people are crazy and genuinely hate TS people.
They can be violent and not amenable to reason. Its best to avoid such people if possible. Think of poor Miriam Fernandez who got beaten and thrown off a 4th floor balcony.
I believe most people are just ignoramuses and unlikely to get physical-but there's always one scumbag who crosses the line.
Indeed, I think Lea makes an excellent and passionate argument, people should not be allowed to get away with putting you down and they should be confronted whenever possible.
But its good to judge a situation right and know how far you can push back before things go hairy on you.
Acceptance for TS people, like with gays will only happen once the public gets much more informed and educated. And also when religion-the greatest source of hate, division and intolerance, disappears.
What religion disappearing or people accepting trannies? both will happen given enough time and education.
Think of the hundreds of religions that have disappeared already, eventually the two major ones (christianity/islam) will also fade as our species matures and gets more enlightening.
Look at Europe, its mostly secular already and atheism is rising in N. America rapidly as well. Of course we'll have to eliminate Islam, which is a fascist totalitarian movement like Nazism and death cult.
There will always be evil individuals but I think society as a whole can become more peaceful and tolerant of others once religion is gone.
Homosexuality and transsexualism were considered normal in pre-monotheistic societies (like greece, india, native americans).
Racism, slavery, mass murder also found sanction in religion. Ultimately its a struggle between sets of 'good ideas' (secular) vs 'bad ideas' (religion).
to others excuse my use of the pejorative term trannies-I meant transsexuals.
Lea is officialy my new Inspiration! The mindset and confidence you display is definitely incredible & you give off good vibes and energy as well, as if your spirit is so positive/bright as to rub off on me from so far away! This def. just made my week alot better you have no idea! Thanx so much!
you and i have thee same attitudes about our self's and not caring of what others really think of our self's.
