  • ..for me it`s a beautiful plain.., have something in.... beautiful then all USA NAZI CRAPS

  • That thing has a LOT of wing lol.

  • Hey brit boys even my texas rednck ass appre what you lime eatin fool did for aviation

  • the 2 dislikes must of been from the runway maintenance guys at port Stanley airfield

  • I first saw her at the age of 11 at RAF Finningley airshow in 1991.

When she took off the ground shook and all the car alarms in the car park went off!

    Beast of an airplane

  • @jamflip Obviously...that's why it's called a joint effort....

  • Man you Euros need to get used to your diminished place in the new world order and just let it go already

  • Just listen to those RR Olympus turbojets spool up. Quite possibly the best noise made by any jet engine, ever!

  • Agree that this is a great aircraft. Had the pleasure of seeing if flying low over Dunedin NZ several years ago. Magnificent!

  • One of the most graceful aircraft ever built. I was fortunate enough to grow up on RAF airbases and watch these flying around.

  • stupid vid dont go loud enough.

  • You know, watching the video, i glance down at the comments, and naturally there is some conflict going on.

One thing that really confuses me is that people use the words "gay" and "fag" as their biggest insults. I don't get it. Either people lack imagination or are just ignorant, thats what it boils down to.

I don't see how being homosexual is the most despicable title someone can attain.

  • Very nice aircraft, but what's the advantage of a big delta wing? Isn't it too heavy?

  • @saptono more stability when going at high speeds (supersonic) same reason why the concord had a delta wing

  • lol last time i checked it was the german that had the first jet engines

  • BAN HRMacQuacken Petition

    /group/trollpetition

  • Better hope that there aren't ant nuclear bombs onboard or Mr Spectre might try stealing it.....again! :D

  • The American B-1B Lancer is far superior.

  • @HRMacQuacken and far newer too.

What's your point Troll? Trying to start a new arguement?

    Go do your homework.

  • @HRMacQuacken...what an idiotic comment. The B-1B was designed 30 years after the Vulcan

  • @Aussiephil99

And it's American too, so you know it's better.

  • @HRMacQuacken ......this aircraft is the same vintage as an early B-52......................what point are you making you idiot yank. We all know you guys would even have jet engines if it wasn't for the British inventing them..............and you wouldn't have gone to the moon unless a NAZI had built your rocket for you.

  • @Aussiephil99

Actually, it is highly inferior to the 98 model H B-52s being flown today by the USAF. The 52 carries a far greater payload, and has a far greater range. Your old bomber is only slightly faster than the 52, but it is still subsonic so it doesn't really matter.

  • @Aussiephil99 1) The british didn't invent jets..the idea has been around 4 ages...the British only patented the early prototype, but the Germans were the first to fly 1.

    2) Yankee is Dutch 4 land grabber...something where the US is not the only 1 guilty of. U being from Australia makes u a son of a Yank, congrats.

    3) America invented the first liquid-fueled rocket..if we didn't have cooperative Nazis we would've used notes from them to help anyway..if neither, then we'd have made it anyway.

  • @GDF333 .........Sir Frank Whittle invented the jet engine and had it running on a rig years before the German Heikel flew. Anyway 1940 German jet engines were shit (axial flow) and had a life of about 20 flying hours. There are British jets of the same era still running today in display aircraft. All first generation US jets had British engines, and the famous F-86 basically had a reverse engineered Rolls Royce Nene as did the Mig-15, thanks to Britian sharing it's secret with Russia after WW2

  • @GDF333 ....so Werner Von Braun had little impact on the US Space Program..is that what you are saying. The Russian space program fell apart after the death of their Chief Designer......the Saturn Rockets.....or earliers rockets for that matter would never have been built without Von Braun. And yes he was a NAZI not just a German....a fact hidden from the US public

  • @Aussiephil99, don't talk bullshit, german's used jet engines, so americans wouldn't have one if there isn't germany...

  • @mrki69tua A quick Wikipedia search reveals that a German and a Brit were both working on the idea, however, the Brit was the first to actually come up with it.

  • @Aussiephil99 i would like to that you for giving the first twenty engines to the russians first.

  • @Aussiephil99 And we all know you would be under Nazi control right now if we hadn't have stepped in :)

  • @jakesalmanz oh, so you were on the battlefield?

  • @isildur69 Mhm :)

  • @isildur69 yes:)

  • @jakesalmanz ,typical idiotic comment, from a sadly typical American idiot. it was a joint effort, without the UK,Russia, commonwealth forces etc etc, The US wouldn't be where it is now. Besides in terms of who did more to win the war, i think you'll find that the Soviets took the brunt of the Axis war machine.

  • @bigchiefmingingbolok Thanks for telling me what I already knew Euro-Trash douche bag :) I'm aware of what shaped WWII to be what it was. But what it comes down to is that things would be VERY different if we hadn't gotten involved. Who (almost single handedly, with some help from England, France, Australia, and Canada) Liberated France? We both know none of those countries would have, One: Even come up with such an offensive and Two: Have the man power or resources to do so.

  • @bigchiefmingingbolok Not done! Any ways, Who was sending supplies to France and the UK before Pearl Harbor? Oh...thats right...the U.S...Who, essentially single handedly secured the defeat of Japan in the Pacific? Oh...right...the U.S....Yes, it was a joint effort. I know but my point(s) remain unfeigned and valid. So how about you shut the fuck up for a second and take a look at the shit you say, or are you too ignorant to realize a sarcastic comment you narcissistic, egotistical fuck. k? <3

  • @HRMacQuacken Yes the only thing is that B1 is 30 years later design,,,,T-160 is far superior than B1...learn to compare contemporary planes...

  • @kakas10000

You mean the 2 or 3 that were built minus the few that have crashed. Yeah, you're an idiot. Next...

  • @HRMacQuacken To relieve you from your total ignorance 35 Tu-160 were built (more to build is scheduled) and none crashed. you obviously speak for the Tu-144 which was never in service. Tu-160 hold the world record of 23 hours constant flighting patrol...Is fastest, bigger more agile and has longer range than the B1...The only are tha B1 is better than the Tu-160 is the avionics but since tu 160 are modernized as we speak then there is no room for doubts about which plane is better

  • @kakas10000

To relieve you from your ignorance. Soccer is a gay sport, Britain no longer has an empire, and Americans don't bow to inbred queens.

  • @HRMacQuacken I am not brittish,i dont find anything interesting to ppl hitting each other wearing armors and i know geography and history and i dont believe that United Kingdom is a country from Lord of the Rings..

  • @kakas10000

Did I ask what you find interesting, cupcake?

  • @HRMacQuacken You should stop posting in Youtube..ppl will think you are the average american and that will mean that the average american has IQ of a carrot...

  • @kakas10000

Yeah, you should stop sucking dick, people will think you're gay.

  • A beautiful old weapon, that bird is...

  • Absolutely great design!!!!!

  • Saw it the other weekend at the Kemble Battle ofBritain airshow, fantastic, worth the entrance fee alone, this plane is awesome.

  • british!!!!! great plane!!!!!

  • i was there in 2008 and saw this fly, its one of my favourite planes :)

  • Damn this thing is a beaut

  • Its starscream

  • @brad9061 -- hahaha

  • KINDA OLD NOT USE NOW A DAYS IT WOULD B SHOT DOWN FAST

  • when i was in marham in 72 they were flying vulcans at that time alongside lightnings and victor tankers,i couldnt help notice the number of dead birds laying around maybe it was from the roar of those engines.great video thanks anybody know what engines she used i am thinking prat and witney or were they rolls royce spay

  • @shanondor Bristol Siddeley Olympus. Same as Concorde but without reheat

  • its just like cars they dont make em like they use to

  • A Vulcan still operating?

  • What a shame, what a shame your leaders have dont to Brittannia, all that histroy, the largest empire in the world, the culture and all off thrown away. The country is ruined muslims everywhere, africans etc....etc that little island will be overrun in 50 years and lost forever.....thank your glorious leaders

  • we went to 2 airshows to see this, and both it was cancelled due to bad weather. then the next day it flies over our house, fantastic....

  • No doubt one of the prettiest airplanes to ever take to the skies....It's rather sad that it's now obsolete like so many other fine aircraft designs. The B-70 Valkyrie supersonic bomber is in that category too as is the old Lockheed Constellation and the Boeing B-47 bomber. Toss the Spitfire and the P-51 in there too. There are others, but I'm sure most of you know which ones they are.

  • this flew over my house like an hour ago really low

  • @MrG30RG3xx yeah same i saw it flying over really low at about the same time

  • britains nuclear bomber

  • @UKkid19

Yep I agree - I saw one 30 years ago at RAF St Athan - after it did a flyby, the earth shook and I thought the world would catch fire!!! Amazing machine

  • a patriot is all we need now :D

  • I remember working the fields around RAF Scampton and stopping to watch these beauties come and go..

    Mike, Abilene, Texas

  • This flew over me at BLackpool airshow last summer those 4x Concorde engines are way too loud. I'm amazed no americans have come on here to claim the B2 can beat it in a dog fight.

  • @UKkid19 you still push post once...

  • aerofighter is crap who wants to have aircraft that the french fly bring back the vulcan

  • Love the camo paint.

  • WOW

  • There is one at Hendon and when you stand underneath it you can really see how huge it is.

It also has to be the noisiest plane on takeoff, so much so that your chest rersonates. Amazing.

  • i was at that airshow! vulcan was awesome, but fav is still the eurofighter :)

  • One of my favorite airplanes ! Awesome, thanks for posting this vid !

  • Probably one of the loudest planes in the world. I saw one take-off when I was quite young - all I remember was feeling an earthquake when it was taking-off.

Although it costs a astonishing £6m to get one of these flying again. Pilots liked this bomber in the cold war due to its high manouverability and often called it somewhat of a fighter as well.

  • WhizzerTheHawk agree with you, one of these flrew past, was about 2000 feet up and the ground definatly trembled like an earthquake, i remeber thinking wtf haha as wasnt expecting it,it sort of was there one minute then it was totally gone past the horizon within about two seconds absolutely awesome!!!

  • nothing loks like or sounds like the vulcan bomber, the original show stopper

  • Such a beautiful plane, she flew over my house the other day on the 20th September 2009 on her way to a private event in Cambridge, made me cry knowing she is the only flying one left :) Am going to make sure I see her at an airshow next year! Can't wait :-D (please don't spam religion talk here, you are ruining the genuine Vulcan comments) Take it somewhere else more appropriate! Cass x

  • Do me a favour and look twice :) she is a beautiful aircraft but not one that is likely to be seen by an Australian audience. I hope to see her in the next few years when I do the antipodean version of the grand tour,

  • So many comments on religion. Fuck what has religion ever done for us Humans other than division and bloodshed. There is no God people. Its all make believe and tales created by ancient Humans.

  • What an amazing airplane. Glad I got to see one fly in person. I've always loved the camoflage paint on the Vulcan. The Argentinians must have shit themselves in the Falklands, seeing that.

  • new 4 engince from suchoj 37 5 gen - modern electronics and it will be fine bomber

  • Beautiful Plane

  • The Vulcan did a flyover for my dad's cousin's wedding party last month. 2000 people there, me and about 20 others actually knew what it was

  • the Avro Vulcan in devon is the only plane of its kind in the world i took 18mill to restore

  • 7 Million.

  • umm, hopefully I'll be eating maggots by then...

  • No. I was talking to someone else about how much was spent on the Vulcan restoration.

I wasn't joining in on some petty argument.

Just a note however, Islam is only bad if the person takes it to be hateful. The majority of Muslims do not see it that way.

You can't generalise. Things like the Koran and the Bible, yes the Bible, are written so plainly, you can take it in all sorts of ways.

  • how come their are too many muslims live there??? i thought brits are christians.. maybe your a muslim terrorist? u sound like no offence...

  • France is even worse, i think they number at about 2 million!

  • really? and my mother go there every pilgrimage. man christians are too good that we let muslim dominate and in the end they will throw none muslims on their own land... most of them believe that the world is for muslims only.. they claiming that they own the earth omg.. not all tho..

  • Yeah, this country is in for some bad times man. France has a lot due to it's colonial past - alot of their ex territories are muslim.

The problem is that diversity actually leads to bloodshed. It's been proved time & time again.

It's mainly in the cities though. if you wanna visit Britain the way it should be goto places like the lake district - beautifull

  • like in the film "Kingdom of heaven".. yea i know that but if they keep growing then someday they will reach ur beautiful land and turn it into ISLAM LAND.. then they will force all to convert to islam...

imagine that all people are muslims... the world will be very ugly, no fun and no freedom... change ur religion and ur DEAD tho men might like it cuz they can abuse the women since in islam women are sex slaves..... thats the thing i hate the most...

  • Yes, it 's actually a right offered by the European courts that if a population grows to a certain % of the overall population, they can demand their own homeland. This is what happened in Kosovo.

Yah, I also hate how Muslims will critisize the west's bad points but they are silent when it comes to things like abusing women like you say.

Rest assured tho, my people are not weak, their just tollerant and only fight when push comes to shove as in WW2.

If we have to fight oneday then so be it

  • i'm originally from phillipines. my country is divided into 3 and muslims want 1/3 of the Philippines and they want it for muslims only. the muslim army terrorize Christians who live there.. actually our army can just wipe them all but u know, "HUMAN RIGHTS" and they saying that not all of them... so how come they never run out?? they easily recruit from those so called innocent.

ofcourse u will win! your country built many good weapons and won war many times. i dont think they can outsmart u:P

  • Human Right's is a curse brought about after WW2 my freind

The sad part about it is that those moderate Muslim's will be caught in the firing line when it all kicks off.

It's nice to hear that comming from a Philipine.

I thought usually you guys tend to move to the USA.

That's what's so good about my country, we tollerate other nationalities as they make us a wealthier society.

I don't hate people, i just hate Islam as it preaches hate (most of the time).

    Their time will come :)

  • most of us want to migrate everywhere far from our stupid government :P we just dont have a future on our own country.. i think most goes to dubai cuz there is a lot of report of abuse to our people who work there.

i to dont have a personal grudge on muslim.. it just their belief, greediness and hatred i don't like. probably terrorists use the religion for their own intention?? i just don't know...

hoping for a peaceful and happy place^_^

  • Spitfires was pretty good.. but..

BF-109s "messershmit" (or how was it called) was much better.

    And german Junkers.. awesome plane.

  • Actually, after the Merlin 61 was put into the MK 9 Spitfire, the ME 109 never caught up. The Spit could always out-turn it but the MK9 could outclimb, out dive and out turn it. Which Junkers? If you mean the 88 it was a very versatile aircraft but not a patch on the Mosquito. Now the FW-190, that was an amazing aircraft for its time. Even though it was outpaced by the later Spits and the Mustangs it was tough and a real competitor.

  • lol, much better?

Me109 was better in the dive but when it came to air to air combat the spitfire was better.

The spitfire could simply out turn the ME 109. look it up mate.

I can't remember the name but one of the luffwaffers commanders was actually asked what he needed in order to win the battle of Britain.

He was quoted as saying spitfires...

    Again, it's all well documented.

  • Luffwaffer took their eye off the ball and started attacking our cities rather than concentrating on our airfields.

That's how we won the Battle of Britain.

The early spitfires were inferoir as they were not fuel injected and so could not perform certain comabt moves.

As soon as we fuel injected them they became on par and (I'd say) even better than the ME 109.

  • Sad little wanna be, shut up! i have no time for you so do 1!

  • fuck u u prick and whats my comment got 2 do with u. i bet ur american im right so shut up and grow up how old are u sound like a 3 year old

  • British engineering has alwase been the best m8 first people to make a jet hover and max supersonic aircarft called concord and an aircarft what can climb verticly the vulcan grow up m8

  • And it does nothing to help you win wars! British military tech much better!

  • nunca pudo dejar destruida la pista de las malvinas, los hércules argentinos operaron hasta ul ultimo día de la rendición

  • I love The vulcan Extremely noisy in fact i just live a few miles from were they were based RAF Wyton And also home of the camberra and victor bombers

  • vulcan reminds me of a buttrfly

  • Reminds me of Spitfire...

  • Saw one of these fly a display at farnborough many moons ago, it really is amazing to see such a large aircraft pull fighter type manouveres. Fantastic

  • absaloutly bloody amazing i seen this plane at windermere airshow last weekend and by god it was f**king spectacular he came slow around us and then put his full thrusters and everything on and i was nearly deafend lol amazing aircraft and im also proud that they are keeping this amazing piece of machinery flying

  • What the hell has happened to UK industry and innovation?

  • We lost faith in ourselves, or rather those in charge have. They thought, and still think, they can run a country off the income from money swapping and they think Engineers are dirty, work-shy geeks.

    rant over.

  • Yeah, I love lying thieving scumbag politicians and shyster spiv banksters aswell........b'stids.

  • Absolutely amazing, it did a display this week at RAF Marham families day, best display ive ever seen.

  • a true symbol of britain in my opinion - shame what has happened to us over the years, but we still have this to remember our past days of glory.

  • Saw this a couple of days ago at the RIAT, An AMAZING AIRCRAFT!!

The loudest thing I have ever heard!

    :D

  • What a magnificent way of delivering a nuclear war head.

Cold war relic. Take that commie, take that gook.

Cruse missiles just don't have the sex appeal of this lumbering behemoth do they. Enjoy it while you can suckers cause private enterprise cannot afford to keep this glorious pile of evil in the air for very long.

They were built when cost wasn't a factor and the public could be relied on to cough up the £.

Make a donation to keep it flying! Heritage Lottery Fund £2.7million not enough?

  • one awesome aircraft! am hoping its able to fly at this years RIAT!

  • is it supersonic?

  • No.

  • ok thanks

  • No, Vulcan was/is a subsonic aircraft. Basically a cold war strike bomber.

I believe the only time it was used in an active combat role was the Britsh/Argentina conflict. I'm sure some Brit might correct me on that though.

Fairly useless now. But a great air show plane.

  • muy bueno

  • No.

  • No, not correct.

  • The Vulcan was a beauty Glad she was never used in war

  • It was used in the Falklands war.

  • I meant the kind of war it was designed for It was a nuclear bomber

  • beautiful

  • Was there... boy does she a good sound :)

  • b-1b's louder i think

  • WHAT A SOUND!!

  • Was the loudest thing I've ever heard in my life.

  • Exept Concord ? Vulcan's don't have afb right ?

  • You've lost me ;D What's AFB? And I've never been stood next to a Concord during take-off; whereas I have been next to a Vulcan during take-off.

  • afb = afterburner or 'reheated thrust'

yeah concord was way loder than the vulcan due to concord's afterburners. i've seen both, those are two memories that will live with me til the day i die.

    amazing aircraft.

  • vulcans apparently use something called "dry reheat" rather than afterburner

  • What a load of nonsense.

  • Concorde has an 'e' in it.

  • The 'e' is not IN it, it's at the end.

  • True, but I am also still right. Within the word, there is an e.

    ...

  • Can remember as a kid going to Finningley in the mid 60`s and seeing 4 scramble take off.... THE GROUND SHOOK!!!!! wished vcr had been invented earlier.

  • cool hope it is at cosford air show this year

  • the vulcan is due to appear at cosford on the 14th of june according to their website

  • ye it did show up i was there it was amzin an very very very loud!!

  • im seeing this wonderful thunder maker at waddington on july 4th.

i saw the first public display there last year when she flew with the lancaster.

(a moment which made me happier than winning £50 a few days earlier)

  • i recomend watching this with head phones and the volume turned up to a point where it's only slightly deafening.

i did and thought it was great.

  • That's how the British do aircraft restoration. Beat that yanks (an SR71 or even a tomcat back in the airshow circuit would be cool).

  • Humble congrats from this Yank. Quite an achievement. An F-14 may be within the realm of reasonable possibility. A Blackbird? No way. Too complex. Too expensive. I would love to be wrong...

  • We've already been doing restorations on B-52's that are still in service. Don't forget ME262's built from scratch. Tag, you're it.

  • Yes, Well done the guys who built the ME262s - and someone in Germany is building brand new FW190s. What next?

    Suggestions please.

  • we need a mosquito, i heard one is being built in NZ or australia????????? also its time the CAA allowed the EE Lightning to be flown out of bruntingthorpe, could you imagine the sound from a joint vulcan/lightning display, immense

  • And the lack of funding for flights is how the Brits do financial support.

    More Red Bull anyone?

  • What a cool and classic bomber!

  • Iso maali :)

  • I saw these flying around when very young in the U.K. They have a look and sound to match their purpose. Awesome still methinks!

  • Beautiful plane.

  • Lived in Farnborough all my life and generally see the airshow as a nuisance that has to be endured. Until the first time I saw this beauty in the air. Reduced even me to stopping and staring while walking home from work Excellent video, beautiful plane.

  • note airbrakes deployed at 1:46

  • Quite a strange looking thing. Can it do any maneuvers?

  • Not Maneuvers as such....

But it can handle some quite tight turns i think,

    nothing major !

  • during the cold war the RAF flew these babies at very low levels to train for radar avoidence (as was RAF thinking at the time) and would pull some suprisingly hefty turns in them. they were selected over the victor for this as they were more robust and could be abused a bit!

  • At 1:45 it's directly over my back garden.

  • Far Far too quiet?!?! You should have stood at the end of the runway when it took off nearly put everyone on there knees!

  • I meant technology wise!!! Of course the B-2 is limited to what it can do manouvering wise as it doesn't have a tailplane. Hence the need for stealth in it's design!!

  • far, far too quiet!

  • A bit of magic paint and a few adjustions you could make that plane into a B2. Beuitiful plane wish i was there too see it. V

  • nahh not even close the b2 is far more better the the vulcan. the vulcan is more like the typhoon.

  • Of course the B2 is better than the Vulcan, it's 50+ year old design!! However at the time the Vulcan design was way ahead of what the B2 is today! Oh and the Typhoon is a strike aircraft and not a dedicatd bomber like the vulcan was!! Silly boy!!

  • if i have to be bombed....

  • süpermiş darısı başımıza

  • Viewed from Aldershot this plane was unearthly.
