This is a great way to communicate and understand national's policies. I support these ideas and just hope the general public will also see the worth of moving forward in this way
I see the cameraperson in your photo on the wall behind you so I suggest you have that framed picture moved elsewhere or at least remoive the glass. As for what you said? Well, do you really think the ordinary moms and dads will buy shares in the power companies we already 'own'? No, because who the heck has that kind of money to invest. We remember losing that kind of money in the sharemarket crash in the 80s. Selling our energy is a real future loss for all of us as prices rise.
I totally disagree with you finman the country shouldn't be run like a business. Business in general aims towards maximum profit. I would prefer instead we are a nation of altruism and quality rather than one where the little people are stepped on for an extra dollar. Trying to privatize state services and assets, takes the aim away from quality and care of NZ'ers and and instead tries to maximize profit for investors, none of which will be good for the every day kiwi's wallet or well-being.
I believe John is a fantastic leader and is alot more strategic and qualified to run NZ that anyone else. NZ is a business and needs to be run as a sucessful one rather than run as a nation of dependancy. You get my vote John.
i Reckon hes right on the money. the smart thing about Mr Key is that he looks towards the future, observing and taking in what has happened to other countries similar to us and learning from their mistakes.
He has good policeys but does he have the guts to back them up as some disecions to cut back goverment operational spending will not be vote winners , there has to be changes in the social welfare system ie making it harder to qualify for the benifit . For many low wage earners in New Zealand it is almost easier to receive the un taxed benifit than to go out and earn for there money have it taxed . This system must have to change becuase less and less people will support more and more people.
SELLOUT - Google 'Max Keiser' it follows the neo-right-wing philosophy.

A new concept . . . getting value for money from our NZ government. Worth giving this radical new idea a chance I would think.
