then B major i think starting on the 9th fret of the 4th string, looks like a D chord just played from 9th fret on 4th string.

hen he does different variations of those chords in different voicings. It's mostly on the A, D, and B strings. just listen closely and you can figure it out

I give extra credit to guitarists like Neil Zaza or even Marty Friedman who these days don't use floyds because in a way guys like Herman Li rely on them far too much to do silly tricks which are cool and all but if you can rock without one its even better.

@darkstar3x16 I do agree that more players should rely less on Floyds (I do like messing around with them, though, you can't deny that they're fun =P), but you could have thought of a better example than Herman Li who, in reality, doesn't just wank on his tremolo. Sure, there are a lot of trem effects in their music, but the majority of what he plays is trem-free. Steve Vai uses his trem a lot more than Herman does, so does Satch. If you want a bad example, use almost any solo Slayer has played.
