I love what Todd was talking about with the hand tension. I was traditionaly taught in my school system when learning drums to always close the gap in order to keep full grip over your sticks, but to be somewhat open and not too free is a good thing overall.
Anyone who thinks its not the microphones that makes the cymbal sound bad is retarded. It's picking up all the ringing from everything, which is why the hihat sounds fine, but the snare you can he the rattling after he hits it.
My comment was a reply to another comment saying something about modern metall drummers kicking Sucherman's ass. Something with Travis Barker. I was arguing Todd is better dickhead
Travis has a big merry band of loyal ignorant followers... I wont be suprised when I get the notification of some d-bag that thinks hes a Virtuoso compared to Sucherman. When its the complete opposite...
ur vid description is really on cue! I only recently found out about him through his new very awesome Instruction Trailer and tho I don't like Styx that much, he's one of my top fav. drummers!
I figured he would be unknown to a few! He's playin' in a couple of bands, the biggest being Andromeda and A.C.T.!
He's one of the best progressive drummers and he's extremely versitile since in A.C.T, he mixed a lot of different styles in a really nice way that still remains the progressive rock feel but with a new touch!
He's one of the few I know of that is constantly evolving and all the time being constantly exciting to watch!

Todd may be the best drummer out there right now. Everything he does is golden. Perfect.
