It was a complete different WORLD than the Iran of today, it was so pleasant and beautiful you could swear it came from a fairy tale place. @xsarahz So what if he said that? Words are cheap. Actions speak louder than words, and if we look at the Shah's actions then you will see they do not reflect that statement said by him. The Shah was a staunch support of women's rights and did so much to improve their status. He was human just like the rest of us, and so of course he will say some silly things in his life he doesn't mean, we all do it, it doesn't mean they are a reflection of our beliefs.
