Its a fake monitor. There can't be a camera in the back because it would be too zoomed in on his hand/arm. There is a lens that distorts the arms size in the front. That's why only his arm casts a shadow in the box and is missing his body's shadow like on wall. The top is open and so it the bottom, the sides lean to the right to create the illusion. The other mystery is why he doesn't have a shirt on but uhhh hmmm... can't figure that one out! ;)

Other than that it is a good illusion if perfected.

@spongeex have you ever thought that he might have pre-recorded the video we see in the monitor in a way that he doesn't have his body's shadow in it? I'm just saying: there's many explanations for this and we can't just rule out a single one.

One example of a video like this would be MGM's iBall (i believe it was called).  I'm sure if brusspup did it the way MGM did, then he would have had a lot of time to practice, plus: I've seen some mistakes here and there, so he obviously had some practice

You could do it like this. Record yourself putting the can on the table but without the monitor. Then record a still or a sequence from the same camera position with the monitor on the table. In AE or FC you put the movie with the monitor above the one with the guy, mask out the monitor... There you go. To get the dispacement of the movie on the monitor you mask out the size of the monitor from another layer of the movie with the guy, tint it blue and put it in place.

The monitor is actually a transparent glass with color similar ot a screen.

What he's done is film this with a green sheet taped onto monitor to match its dimensions and done the whole movement in front of the monitor, not behind. He then moved the monitor up a little bit and took a single picture. He then took that picture into photoshop and cut

out just the monitors frame. Now all he had to do was overlay the frame onto the static video, and use chroma kayer to get rid of the greenscreen. This way you get realistic shadows and reflections.
