@nastykurtbadboy Yeah it was, hence why it is an answer song. Skeeter made an album 'Here's The Answer' which has several songs answering the originals. I have several on my channel like 'He'll Have To Stay' 'I Really Want You To Know' a live version of '(I Can't Help You) I'm Falling Too' and this one.

@meganbekkarr Michaels' single record was released in August 1960. Skeeter's album was released in January 1961. So yes, Marilyn was a little earlier.

@Freyja1133 She's as country as can be but can sing both. These records were made when the Nashville Sound was at full force which was necessary to counter Rock n' Roll (Guess you know that, if not try Wikipedia) otherwise it probably would have stayed honky-tonk/raw country.
