Fell in love with Barry Manilow when he sang this song on this show so many years ago. Until a few years ago I never knew who he wrote it about. You can tell he was thinking of her when he sang it. To have someone love you that much, with that much emotion, I get goosebumps every single time I hear this song. One of the true artists of my generation!

I always thought this song was soooo sensual. Starts off slow and sweet, builds with intensity and urgency until the "climax", then returns to soft, breathlessness. I read his autobiography and he said he wanted this song to feel like "a musical orgasm". I'd say mission accomplished !

Manilow's seamless and masterful transition from "Prelude in C Minor" into "Could it Be Magic" and back again leads one to believe that perhaps Chopin had intended for someone to come along and create something to be added to the middle of his composition. Chopin would most certainly have approved. If you do not find this song moving, you obviously have never been in love or you have no heart.
