Ohkay... So I Got a chance to view the entire movie.. and to be honest I was DISGUSTED ! is this really a true story about the "Alpha: Chapter? Personally I could not let anyone do me how those girls did those pledges, i would have to fight back , getting beat up just to join a soroity? its not that serious,watching this movie has made thinking 10x harder this.... if i was to pledge and they were to talk to m like they did the movie, im sorry but i seriously have to fight... forget recording

If you want to join an organization for strictly community service join something else but if you want to join an organization that is Well-Known since DAY 1 for bonding Men and Women therefore making the individual as strong as his/her's Chapter/Line/Organization. It amazes me how people love to talk about paper or pledge...Will you stay financial after college is important? Will you continue to continue to do the things in your sororities mission/oath.....and many don't. .So who is more value to their sorority/fraternity....Those who pledges but isn't financial or those who are considered "paper", but they are really living up to what their founders wanted...and still pay their financial dues

The is nothing remotely attractive, feminine or scholarly about hazing. My think when I used to pledge Ivys was DO YOU KNOW THE HISTORY. I didn't care about all that other mess. I was not about to go upside someone's head or make people eat mixed up concocted food products or drink excessively, even though it was done to me. Although I was not apposed to giving strokes, especially in the name of the founders as tradition dictated. Pledges we afraid of me based on facial expressions and demeanor.

Anyway, when I pledged, my big sisters treated me with dignity and respect. Receiving a beating does not make you any more of a member or any more committed to a sorority. Our slave ancestors only "willingly" submitted themselves to beatings when they wanted to be defiant, not because they wanted to be accepted. Any person who has a need to beat someone else to be a member of the sorority has serious issues. If your ugrad chapter hazes, do it alumnae, simple as that. But take a beating? Nuh uh!

@saxyboy987 Yup!!! PHI-SKEE and MLK PLEDGED before 1990 and he was a Reverend and a Doctor from Sigma Chapter just a FYI ..... DO YOUR RESEARCH and pledging is not something that was brought out recently. Paper wants to call everything hazing. There is a reason for it all.

@quiqui89 I am a REAL AKA who PLEDGED in 1986 when pkedging was for real...dressing alike, marching in a line....singing, all hours of the night....all night sessions, history and otherwise, the chair, smile wipes. holding brick for hours, taking wood, and a whole lot of other things I can't and won't mention and this movies, while apparently entertaining to some, does not amuse me as a depiction of AKA. The pledge process was 70% mental 30% physical. And I can attest..the mental part was worse

Yeah, don't join a sorority that does this because its not worth it. There are other groups that can feel like a family WITHOUT the abuse. Same for guys. If there's something they want you to do that you just can't, then get out unless you really really need 'connections'. Be smart about this, yall. Its your dignity AND your money.

The older girls in my sorority are so against hazing, that we don't even let the girls sit in the backseat of our cars.

We do the very opposite of all of this. We spoil our ladies. That's why I joined in the first place. They treated me like a REAL LIFE sister.

So, note to all girls: not every sorority is like this. If you ARE treated this way... GET OUT NOW!!!!
