@Edecreed Very nicely put. Remember that it's possible with load and loads of practice. After all, they do it enough, and its probably a practical skill to be able to draw one so quickly in say, a combat situation.

I knew by the middle, when they made a turn from the original story, that one or both brothers will die at some point, not learn their lesson, making the whole journey and everything they went through meaningless, and end up in a situation that's more of a punishment then a definite ending to the series.

For example, they added the part where cornello turns into the giant monster thing. He actually just pisses Ed off and ed scares him with a giant statue of the sun god that he makes, and there was no ice alchemist. And they took out the story where ed goes to the mining town and ed makes yoki lose his job. This anime loosely follws the manga

The mining town part and others like that were in the original fullmetal alchemist, which you were supposed to watch before this. Accept that they're different forms of media and it would be boring if was word for word.

@StooJohny I think it is more like- They both are aiming at the same thing, but it is their reasons behind aiming for the object that makes them different. Ed and Al are trying to fix their mistake and just want to be whole again, while Voldemort wants to restore his body so he can kill people.
It's just my opinion, but I feel the original series portrayed this Liore sequence in a much more sinister light. I mean, I always thought the scene where you see Rose's "boyfriend" as one of the more fucked up scenes in the Anime. While Brotherhood is good, I get a more lighthearted vibe from it than the original, which is good in some cases, but I actually prefer an ambiguous ending over a happy one.
Has any one else noticed that the regular Fullmetal Alchemist there's an episode EXACTLY like this one only slightly different? But I still like this one better......
@fruityXCL17 The Philosopher Stone was an actual belief hundreds of years ago when people studied alchemy they were trying to find a way to turn bronze into gold and for some reason back then there was an actual rumor about a stone that would make alchemy work without equivalent exchange and it was called the Philosopher Stone people actually died looking for non-existent stone and lots of T.v shows and movies base their story around this stone.

actually, this follows the manga unlike the first FMA which was a completely different story. If they were to follow the same storyline that the first FMA did, then there wouldn't be a point in having Brotherhood. This is my second time watching Brotherhood, and personally, I like it more than the first. But I agree with you at some parts of the story where the first FMA just nailed it, and it would've been cool to see those scenes in Brotherhood :D

@phillipdogyface Using a Philosopher's Stone breaks the law of equivalent exchange because it's made by a number of souls which in the FMA universe, the price of souls is unimaginable. Cornello uses a Red Stone(Fake/Incomplete PS), but it's still nonetheless powerful and if you're willing to get your body mutilated to use it. I think they made Cornello transform for the lulz.

@StooJohny I think it is more like- They both are aiming at the same thing, but it is their reasons behind aiming for the object that makes them different. Ed and Al are trying to fix their mistake and just want to be whole again, while Voldemort wants to restore his body so he can kill people.

It's just my opinion, but I feel the original series portrayed this Liore sequence in a much more sinister light. I mean, I always thought the scene where you see Rose's "boyfriend" as one of the more fucked up scenes in the Anime. While Brotherhood is good, I get a more lighthearted vibe from it than the original, which is good in some cases, but I actually prefer an ambiguous ending over a happy one.

@fruityXCL17 The Philosopher Stone was an actual belief hundreds of years ago when people studied alchemy they were trying to find a way to turn bronze into gold and for some reason back then there was an actual rumor about a stone that would make alchemy work without equivalent exchange and it was called the Philosopher Stone people actually died looking for non-existent stone and lots of T.v shows and movies base their story around this stone.

The original was not 'made up as it went' - it was planned...FROM THE BEGINNING...with the knowledge that it would have to create original story after episode 25. This was an intentional design choice, and one undertaken by studio bones with the blessing AND INPUT of Hiromu Arakawa, who revealed her manga ending to the creators and even suggested some alternate story possibilities.

actually, this follows the manga unlike the first FMA which was a completely different story. If they were to follow the same storyline that the first FMA did, then there wouldn't be a point in having Brotherhood. This is my second time watching Brotherhood, and personally, I like it more than the first. But I agree with you at some parts of the story where the first FMA just nailed it, and it would've been cool to see those scenes in Brotherhood :D

@phillipdogyface Using a Philosopher's Stone breaks the law of equivalent exchange because it's made by a number of souls which in the FMA universe, the price of souls is unimaginable. Cornello uses a Red Stone(Fake/Incomplete PS), but it's still nonetheless powerful and if you're willing to get your body mutilated to use it. I think they made Cornello transform for the lulz.
