Deadly Tornado in Mississippi - April 24, 2010

According to a documentary on the National Geographic channel a couple of weeks ago, tornadoes will become more frequent and larger because the jet stream is moving farther north. What we suffered this year in Mississippi apparently is just the beginning.

I watched this tornado come over us, trees falling, things flying through the air.....it was very scary!! It didn't last long, but it did a lot of damage. My family & I were in two houses.....across the street from each other. When it was over, we made sure each of us were ok. Then we started crawling over trees to make sure our neighbors were ok. While we were doing this, we found out our Church building was destroyed & a church member was inside, but he came out with no injuries.

Yeah I'm from yazoo.. It was less than a mile frome my house. I live at the bottom of broadway hill so the tornado came right over my house and tore everything apart at the top of the hill at 4 points. I got lucky to say the least. The death count is up to 12 now. I don't think our city will ever be the same.
