it dose not surprise me you cracked the screen its really not fair to say something bad about them because you dont know how to handle a laptop. I mean look at how rough you are with it just in this video and you opened it from the upper corner, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out if you bend a lcd it will crack..
i used countless laptops in my life this one had bad quality control
a barely bent it and it cracked after replacing it i did the same and nothing happened
.... and what do u mean handle a laptop .Its a laptop do u really think the people who made this intended people to follow certain procedures ,Anyways these consumer laptops dont live long my next buy would be a business laptop like a tecra or a Hp Powerbook with an IPS panel its gona cost me an arm and a leg !
my lectures at college will be pro 2 to 3 hours at most so the laptop should atleast have 3 hours of battery life
my budget is pretty much the cos of the macbook pro 13 inch plus tax (so about 1400 here in canada) but i am thinking of breaking my bank and going for thr 15inch macbook since it has better specs for 2 grand but not quite sure since its so expensive lol
im going into business accounting but "may" change my mind and go into something with graphics, dunno yet lol
if the battery life is very important to you the 13 inch mac will get u 7 hours+
and if u ever get a windows laptop dont get worried about 3rd party apps just remove them from the startup list and it will be faster and cleaner (solved)
like the reason i want to get a macbook is, its something new to try (grown up with windows and all its bullshit lol) and the macbook pros, u ahve to admit, loook pretty nice, especially sinc its made of metal instead of plastic.
btw how are the speakers on the hp? i think their "beats" ones?
heck even an atom cpu will suffice for business lectures
but ull not have any bs when it comes to fast window computers
OSX is fast because its based on Unix
+windows 7 is a dream i installed a OLD wireless card that dosnt even have vista drivers online that how old it was i just installed it and 1 minute later it worked without installing anything- have u ever used windows 7 ?
windows xp in terms of drivers are a night mare i remember needing floppy disks to install raid xD
.
yes i will be taking it in about 2 weeks
got a high build quality laptop Toshiba portege m750.
basically toshiba business laptops are like the toughbook line of laptops
my teacher is using a 1.6ghz pentium tecra laptop for over 5 years and it looks and feels new great laptop if u want longevity but most people these days only want whats new even if they dont need it
HP dv6 plastic with extremely horrible over heating issue (EXTREMELY)
toshiba = amazing almost no heat generates
HP aluminum = amazing the plastic hp had HORRIBLE drivers(for its OWN hardware like touchpad etc) the touch sensitive volume would glitch and keep lower and increasing the volume by its self it was a nightmare 3rd party apps would crash sometimes etc
and it had a chrome touch pad xD
hp fixed all the issues with the new aluminum laptops
haha nice, do u know wat u want to do when u get ur business degree? im going into my first year in 1 week , kinda overwhelming lol, big change and i still ahve no idea what i want to do for sure for a living lol
yeah i ve seen the hp plastic laptops, especially that black one with the funny silver cicrles and chrome trimming, it looked cool but i can see it being a major fingerprint magnet lol

witch is the price??
eurg 1 year ago
@eurg $1249
same price as an out dated 13 inch macbook pro
CRAKIZGOOD 1 year ago
@CRAKIZGOOD
i m thinking this or the macbook pro
which is a good choice?
randomrazr 1 year ago
@randomrazr
answer these questions
what macbook pro will u buy
will ur run cpu intensive software
what software will u run
have u ever used a OSX before
how long will u be without a charger (battery life)
what is your budget
CRAKIZGOOD 1 year ago
@CRAKIZGOOD
i would get the base model macbook pro 13.3 inch
2.4ghz intel core 2 cuo
4gb ram
250gb HD
nvideo graphics card 320m (no idea what that means lol)
13.3 LED screen
i prob will run firefox, msn, email, itunes, iphoto, calender, and rare occasions imovie if i decide to make a youtube video
ive used OSX before and aware of its more confined environment (less third party software unlike windows)
running out of type, posting a second part lol

@randomrazr
3 - 4:30 hours (65% brightness) with a dv7 is not a problem because this model comes with a 9 cell battery
but if ur gona use it for business lectures a 17inch super laptop is overkill
if ur getting for graphics a windows laptop with a nvidia card (this laptops uses ATI)
1.must have windows it gets frequent nvidia updates and more support
2.a nvidia gpu will help u allot if u will use graphics rendering(CUDA support) etc
u will have to choose now business or graphics

so over all do u think its worth getting the macbook 13?
randomrazr 1 year ago
@randomrazr
overall yes u should get a macbook
CRAKIZGOOD 1 year ago
@CRAKIZGOOD
like its practically the same price as the hp
like the reason i want to get a macbook is, its something new to try (grown up with windows and all its bullshit lol) and the macbook pros, u ahve to admit, loook pretty nice, especially sinc its made of metal instead of plastic.
btw how are the speakers on the hp? i think their "beats" ones?
randomrazr 1 year ago
@randomrazr
yeah lol but u dont need all that power
what u need is battery life
heck even an atom cpu will suffice for business lectures
but ull not have any bs when it comes to fast window computers

@randomrazr
ive had my hp desktop for a god 4 years now
its a pretty reliable machine
only things i had to change were the cooling fans, one of them died
though i must say it runs pretty slow now
randomrazr 1 year ago
@randomrazr
what makes a computer slow is the hard drive
i had a ssd on a 18.4 inch laptop
it would boot up in about 15 seconds
and shut down in 2 seconds
ssd's read speed 230MB/s
laptop HD 50MB/s
desktop HD 100 MB/s
fast desktop HD 150 MB/s

ok look with this laptop there is no heating issues what so ever
full cpu load is only 65c and the gpu is at 60c
its one of the coolest laptops i have ever used
HP had hundreds of problems in their older models but these are perfect
some times its soo cold to touch i let it heat up before using it
