Some tips for random battles. Just spam multi-enemies hitting attacks. The game has an error in it's programming that makes all attacks hit. No matter the hit percentage. Helps in grinding. Also, EVA does nothing don't ever LV it up. Finally, seeing as you're playing the special disc. Press 'M' when exploring.
The Touhou wiki also has a page that tells you the pros and cons of a character. Hope this will help you in the game. I'm thinking of doing an LP of this too.
Just a thought...........wouldn't upgrading TP(Patchy's in particular) and SP (For everyone) allow you to go farther in dungeons, so you wouldn't have to leave and go through places you've been through before quite so often?
@SamusAran627 Kind of. SP increases enough on its own without a lot of emphasis on it. TP isn't as important, as once you get a full party all you have to do is switch characters out and it lets you go quite a bit farther. Plus, TP loss per battle depends on the amount of damage the characters take, and being fairly low level you're going to take a lot of damage, which makes one or two more TP negligable. Plus it's bloody expensive right now...
A tips on the bugs. You can usually 2 or 3 hit them since they only have 2k hp
