  • Impossible! Must be Emil Gilels with a blonde wig

  • when i was 20 years old i went to housepartys,now i am 42 and i am listening tchaikovsky.getting older isn't that bad!

  • ONCE WE'RE GONE IN THE OTHER WORLD, WE'LL MEET ALL THE GREATEST MUSICIANS , MOZART, BEETHOVEN, TCHAIKOVSKY,CHOPIN...ETC... WHY , DO YOU THINK SOMEONE NEVER COMES BACK ON EARH AFTER DEATH? BECAUSE THE OTHER WORLD IS BETTER, AND GREATER ......

  • Where is the full recording?

  • I see 22 reasons to wear a condom..

  • What a beauty what a beauty !

  • ALLORA SENTITE HUNG JUNG LIM NELLO STESSO CONCERTO E COMPARATE

  • Very nice! But also a tad bit slow at a few points. Personal preference, I suppose.

  • blew my mind away!

  • beautyfull...and effective performans...

  • she is the most amazing piano i've ever heard of. WOW the song beautiful

  • What??? ist this particular composition that makes her play that way, watch her play rachmaninoff

  • Sem palavras!!!!! Apenas espetacular!!!!!!!!!!

  • Exceptional!!

  • Impossible! Must be Tchaikovsky with a blonde wig.

  • @AlgarismosGomes No it's Chuck Norris dressed as a girl.

  • Just extraordinary..!!!!.BEAUTIFUL!!!! Excellent!!! It's like a dream!!! Tums up,Valentina! You are the BEST!!!

  • ciaikowski mi fa morire. ogni volta e' una emozione fortissimauna . sopratutto questo concerto.bellissimo

  • her hands are like butterflies..

    stunningly beautiful!!!!!!!!!

  • Poetisa del piano. Hasta el "Happy birtday to you" sonaría como un poema con esas manos que no "tocan", "vuelan" sobre el teclado; las notas van a sus dedos.

  • She lacks force and energy...Une intérpretation très mitigée a mon gout!!!

  • Majestueux !

  • She is remarkable. Who could make an orchestra sing like Tchaikowsky?

  • @allezach mozart

  • @allezach Only Valentina could

  • WoW

  • El director está en curda??

  • Valentina is the piano's Queen!!!...

  • I think she was born with a piano at hand!!!!!!!!!, lovely princess, I love it!1!!!!!, I have no words

  • this piece put smile on my face.!! oh my god., why do i feel this way., !!

-this is worth listening than justine bieber or taylor swift kinda shit* piece....

  • This music is the highest achievement of human species and I hope that once we're gone, our music and art will remain for some other species to know us by....and not by wars and destruction.

  • UDS NO HAN VISTO ESTE CONCERTO EL DUO KARAJAN --KISSIN

  • Oh god, this stole my soul...

  • I like it very much!

  • do you perform the Rach 3? thanks.

  • I'm greek and I' say one word: a p i s t e u t h

  • Beautiful!!!

  • The best concerto for piano ever wroten

  • snowwhite + Tchaikovsky = Valentina

  • I would kill to see her play Cohens Masterpiece :D

  • Crikey this is good

  • Das ist mein aller liebstes Musikstück. Meine Mutter hat es jeden morgen gehört, als sie mit mir schwanger war. Ich kann atmen und leben.

    Ich liebe die russische Seele.

    Danke.

  • Thumbs up!

P.S. Is that a wrong note at 1:00?

  • @LAnonHubbard Yeah, I think so. but anyway she plays great :))

  • The prodigy of piano ;)

  • I can't stop listening to this over and over again.... everything Valentina plays is always the best performance ever.

  • great

  • Wonderful !!!

  • Where is the whole thing?

  • I'm sick of all the comments talking about how blessed she is and how she is a gift from God. Valentina practices 10-12 hours a day. God has nothing to do with it.

  • @OriginalBasaliskos Well said!

  • @OriginalBasaliskos I completely agree with you. People often get these two mixed up. Usually it's a product of much hard work.

  • @OriginalBasaliskos +10000000000

  • Wonderful Valentina Lisitsa! Her Rachmaninov's Prelude Op 23 N5 is my favourite! Please listen to my performance of Fantasy-Suite for piano from Tchaikowsky's ballet "Swan Lake" and let me know your opinion. Thanks and best regards, Rezo Jorbenadze.

  • Your hands are blessed by God!!!

  • is that carlo maria giulini?

  • 0:12 reminds me about Liszt concerto no. 2 mov. 3

  • Valentina, please write something to me, anything, short, it doesn't matter, what i want it's to feel that you know me. I'm sure that I'm one of the main followers of your music and your generosity. Thanks. Love you. Didier. PS are you going to came to Mexico again, when?

  • beautiful

  • SInce " Totentanz transcription " i m realy in love about Valentina Lisitsa ....

  • Me gusta su temperamento en el piano.

  • LEMBRA-ME O PROGRAMA DO SAUDOSO HAROLDO DE ANDRADE, NO RIO DE JANEIRO

  • it is stainwai or bosendorfer ??????? have a very nice sound !!!!

  • Comment tant de talent et de beauté peuvent-ils être réunis chez un même être humain ??

  • Out of all the interpretations I've heard of this piece, from both orchestra and piano, this is my favorite. It's a shame it's not the whole thing.

  • relax!!

  • princess? she is not the king 'cause she is a woman... so she's the queen of Piano! she's awesome!

  • Amazing! I have never ever been disappointed to her playing!

    She's brilliant!

  • wow

  • without no doubt, she's the next martha agerich

  • @simsplumbob: Hopefully not, she's already Valentina Lisitsa, she doesn't need to be Martha Argerich.

  • this girl is amazing..she really play Rachmoninoff, Tchaikovsky (as seen here) amd Beethoven amazingly well. I wasn't too in love with her take on Chopin..a bit too much power for Chopin really.

  • @ehttsinaip none of you guys had listen tchaikovsky.. so, respect the styles of each one..

  • formidable bravo

  • what kind of piano is this does anyone know?

  • @lilkkka Steinway & Sons

  • well looks like a Steinway & Sons to me... and well its very likely that it is a Steinway & Sons since most of the concert halls have S&S =) i hope this helped

  • I wonder what happened at the end? Did the guy get busted for sneaking in a video camera?

(BTW, she's wonderful. It should be illegal to be that talented while being that beautiful.)

  • martha argerich is the best

  • at this level of talent we can't say that one is better that the other.

  • @roquense25 instead of trying to say who's is better, just try to appreciate the music and the talent. Both are amazing

  • Martha Argerich is the best

  • Bravíssima!!!

  • Absolutely unbelievable !

  • whew! It just drifted me off to somewhere! the opening was breath taking..actually the whole of it!

  • yes, she is AWESOME.

the first concert that reminds me of v. cliburns's historical one.

but i think that she will be better^^

  • Princess of Piano

  • @Pongstorn28 She's not the princess, but the queen of piano

  • @Pongstorn28 princess ??!?!? I rather say Queen of Piano !!

  • @Mirmidon87 You're absolutely right!

  • @Pongstorn28 queen

  • She is great! And I´m not interessed in compare anyone with anyone, because it´s usefullness!!!

  • I love Tchaikovsky, and I love Lisitsa.

  • She is great!

But Martha Argerich is Martha Argerich :)

  • Grande Valentina...accendi delle emozioni che solo tu puoi dare!!!

  • I am discovering little by little all the recordings of Mrs Lisitsa and as more I go on, I see it is an incredible phantastic career.... She is one of the rare pianists who will write piano history or better said who is already writing piano history.

she will replace Martha Argerich little by little and remember us of the great careers of Horowitz and Rubinstein.

  • @uhartchristian She is better at romantic music!( a category i dont like) her interpretayions i like though

  • Great!!

  • you are such a cool kid!!!!! YOUR SO AWESOME!

  • Una grande interprete femminile è la più grande cassa di risonanza della musica

    classica.

  • she played too slow at the beginning....martha argerich much better...

  • Lower is better for me

    Great playing

  • the tempo is taken by the conductor...

  • где ты имела с ним гастроли?

а оркестр , так понимаю не его?

  • Антони Вит..

  • I want to marry her!!!!

  • Sorry buddy, she's already married. Tuff luck pal.

  • @imayocu mate she is already married, I thought about that too..hahahahahaha

  • @imayocu I think you'll get just almost as much enjoyment from a CD or DVD. Not to mention it's a lot cheaper and vastly lower maintenance.

  • @imayocu

    DO THAT !!

    I can understand.

    Much luck,

    Jan.

  • Illegally recording?! Shame on you! :P Thanks for the vid though.

  • 3:20 - 3:30 omg lol ))

  • I think it's brilliant, I would have loved to hear the next section!

  • Ok I dont know much about music but I ve seen this in a couple of other of her vids....she is not reading any paper...and that just amazes me cause shes playing that by memory only and I cant even remember to do my homework...

  • trust me, every pianist can memorize music. She is amazing for many different reasons

  • not every pianist can actually, certainly only a few can remember an entire concerto off by heart like her!

I would say that among pianists, you either tend to learn a piece off by heart or play the music by sight with a general feel of the piece.

    Just my opinion sorry.

    regards

  • Are you also an angel? :-)

  • Is this Antoni Wit and the polish national orchestra?

  • what s that weird sound at 1:00? Isn t that a mistake?

  • lol, the conductor is using a miniature study score.

  • Valentina, you know how to play very better of this way.

  • I like Gould's, Rachmaninov's and Kissin's playing.

  • hmm takhirviolinesr.... awesome but what about lisitsa ? cause actually in this vid she's the only pianist i can see...anyway she's amazing as always . lol i feel like 'i' m being quite repetitive... always saying that her playing is beautiful and amazing....!

  • I love Tchaikovsky. Valentina is a wonderful woman!

  • Tchaikovsky used to be my favorite when i was a kid and used to play piano

  • where's the rest....please?

  • for me... she is the best pianist in the world...

  • the best pianist is simply vladimir horowitz!!! he's a llegend

  • I usually like Horowitz with some exceptions in the touch and style of him playing some of the pieces from the Romantic period.

  • you should listen a little bit martha argerich

  • Wow.. an electrifying performance!

If only all pianos were destined to be under such fingers!

  • 3:47 cof! i dont believe! A person cough!

  • 1:55 as well :p

  • i sure wished there was a recording of hepzibah menuhin playing this piece

  • this lady is one of my favourite pianists to listen to.....epic...

  • this is great but i prefer horowitz and wiessenberg versions....

  • quit comparing...it also depends on the orchestra she's playing with. She's truely a genius! Such ease at this piece.

  • NOSSSSA MARAVILHOSO se eu tocassse assim ai lindo Demais quem sabe um dia eu chego la =D....

  • she's perfect, like evil...ja ja ja ja

  • I think it's her tallness, long arms, and wide hands that she's able to play so strongly and pesante. Being slavic herself, she's got the accent on this slavic concerto correct. Such incredible natural talent. Oh geez, it was played at the LA philharmonic, my hometown and I missed it !!!!!!

  • Quoting natural talent always leaves me queasy. I'm pretty sure she worked insanely hard to get where she is.

  • Good point. People tend to forget that fact too often.

  • Why do you even compare her to that clown of Lang Lang?

They have nothing to do with each other!

  • Why do you even compare her to that "idiot".

Lang Lang is a clown and she is an artist.

They are not even to put close together.

    She feels and spreads music.

Lang Lang is too narrow minded and self centred to even get close to something like this.

  • Why do you even mention that "idiot" of Lang Lang here?

They have nothing to do with each other!

He is a clown and she is an artist!

    Not even comparable.

  • this music is too beautyfull for some people ..they needs to listen shit music!

    great pianist great composer

  • She is full of temerament like Martha Argerich (was)...

  • grande personalità

  • WOW!

  • Cudowne i majestatyczne!

  • I hope one day to hear you play the Tchaikovsky concerto #2, that last movement is so thrilling- Thanks even for this fragment

  • i agree. much musisians have high technical level. but what really makes the diference its her muscallity, what she brings to the music with hr particular performace

  • I've been to 3 of her recitals and, honestly, I've never seen anything like her really.

  • Valentina is awesome. She can give Lang Lang,

a run for his musicality. Only regret that the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto was only fragmentary. How nice it would have been for the entire concert.

  • She is much better than Lang Lang imo.

  • lol, there are now soo many better piano players than Lang Lang

  • i want to see valentina lisitsa playing the famous octaves passages of the last movimient.......and in all the piano concerto, of course

  • She might as well be named Valentina Lizst!

  • Fragment of a piece that starts off with nice and strong chords. Very nice. A true Russian piece by a Russian.

  • she isnt russian

  • @ulsbolde89 shes ukrainian

  • Can we see the whole thing please?

  • I'm sorry if you get two or three comments from me! Something didn't quite work with my computer. What orchestra do you play with, and who conducts? This is so beautiful! Thanks from Sweden!

  • My favorite pianist now...... WOW

  • You are a genius! Congratulations!!!!

  • Exeleeeent‼

    =D wooooow I♥this concert.

  • PERFECTION! Please tell me when you have concert dates in the UK!!

  • Magnificent. Ms. Lisitsa, your emotional grasp of this piece (and others-Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninov) compliments the virtuosity of your talents to create a truly remarkable talent that is IMHO on the same level as Richter, Pollini, Michelangeli, and Rubenstein to name a few. It is good to see people still devoted to such an important aspect of life.

  • Your smooth style is eyecandy and remarkable =)

  • quiero verlo completo ! ! !

QUIERO VERLO COMPLETO NO UN FRAGMENTO ! ! !

    PLEASE ! ! ! I WANT HEAR ALL CONCERT ! ! !

  • Valentina, thanks for the signed poster; Darryl from Michelle's piano sent it to me (from Portland - OR), I tried sending you a thank you email but I'm blocked. Anyways, good playing!!

  • wow, really beautiful, I love this concerto and Valentina's playing =) nice, nice, nice.

  • She's the best! ;P

  • I would love to see a concert of her!! :) Brilliant pianist!

  • I wonder when Valentina did this. While the sound quality is a bit hazy I can tell she makes this piece sound fresh which makes a change - it can sound very hackneyed. I would like to see (& buy) a full CD set or especially DVD set of a vast spread of the piano repertoire from this most captivating of pianists. Where are these recordings .. come on :)

  • Last week :)

  • this is the most artistic performance I ever herd !

  • Wow! Really great!

    -Val

  • My all time favorite...

  • Brava!

I'd love to see the rest, though :)

  • awesome job. I was a little disappointed at 5:06, though. I always felt that the low notes are supposed to be frightening. faster + more forte maybe?
