Thank you for this posting. I can remember my Grandmother when i was a very young pup playing Wilf Carter, Smily Bates and Hank Snow. I was far to young at the time to enjoy these songs. I was at my rock and roll stage. But in time we all grow up to see with our eyes and hear with our ears and come to know what is important and what real music with heart, feeling and true meaning. My Grandmother is not with us now, but her records are and i play her music faithfully. Thank you for the memories.

As noted that is not Wilf Carter but rather a guy from Ontario Canada, Floyd Lloyd. Floyd was a Wilf Carter fan and recorded at least two lps of Wilf Carter songs

This is not Wilf Carter. Nice job, but the original version that Wilf sings is slower and the phrasing is different.
