I went to a bar on holiday in Scotland and got an English breakfast when I bit into the egg there was a huge piece of glass in it?? How?? I need to be "Enlightend"
I think the cinnamon story is cool and I liked it!! I have a similar story about food from the past, I think most of us do. BTW, your still number 1 with me!
ohnoes, cinnamon is a aphrodisiac flavor enhancer which carries nearly no flavor it self. ancient cooking trick is that cinnamon is 1 of the few flavor enhancers which you can add to any food.
usually "oil/broil phase" in cooking dust pan/item, and let it simmer 5 additional mins so its cooked into the food. when done whatever your making will tast 15% better, and if you add too much 15% worse.
i ate a sandwich that had peanut butter and jelly on one bread and sliced turkey in the middle and mayo and mustard on the other before i turned veggie...and i was not high just bored haha
aww.. well at least you're personal experience didn't make you not like the smell of pancakes :} ..then I would have been sad..lol I'm kinda sad I guess in the weirdest thing I think I've ate is ostrich from a pizza from this place called Pieworks lol I think eating ostrich is strange.. :P
Woah, just been having one of those days where nothing will go right, and watching one of these videos suddenly cheered me up.
To answer the question, there's a short story to that one. Back when I was a lot younger, my sister and I used to mix up various foods (such as ketchup mixed with white sauce, and ketchup) and dare the other one to eat it. Since I've always grown up able to do anything (cause... or effect? :-o), I'd pretty much always eat/drink it. So it was probably one of those.
Wierdest thing I ever ate was a flower on a dare. We were sitting in a pub in Switzerland and were very bored. My friends said they would pay me 5 Swiss Francs if I ate one of the flowers in the vase on the table. I picked a pretty white one, put a little Aromat on it, ate it and quickly ordered a beer that was paid for by the 5 francs I got for eating the flower.
The weirdest thing I've ever eaten was probably a flounder's heart. My grandpa told me it was good luck for fishing. I later found out that my grandpa tells stories for his ammusment.
As a kid, I ate some crayons because they said non-toxic. When I asked my mom what that means, she said, "That means you can eat it". Not exactly the best explanation. Rainbow poo?
I think Onion bagle, it was some odd but bad tasting bagle, but what makes it worse was that there was just a really horrible and boring cartoon on tv. And I guess since I was bored I watched it cuz there was nothing else on. So it brings up not just bad taste memories but also headaches oddly.
I had that with a" vlamtosti", maybe you know it? It's just a tosti with spicy stuff and some meat between it. I ate two of those before the match and got really sick of it. Now whenever I smell "vlamtosti's" I get sick. :(
Once I hate rice with little pieces of leafs and grains that was falling from a pine tree right inside my pan =) I was at a scouts camping and the solution was that rice or no food at al, so... I love peaches, strawberrys... I absolutely hate fresh tomatoes! If cooked I like, otherwhise there's no way! I believe it's related to a bad childhood experience, where a teacher force me to eat it ;p
The weirdest thing i've ever had to eat was a pig foetus. Cant say I was too keen on the idea, but it was either eat the foetus or offend the tribe of animist lao that had slaughtered one of their few pigs in honour of my arrival. Other than that, crickets, cockroaches, spiders, ants. The joys of field biology in Cambodia. Still can't eat mushrooms though...
On holiday with my parents several years ago, we had dinner in a French restaurant. Because we didn't understand the menu, we asked the waitress for a suggestion. My brother and I got a meal we did not like at all. Apparently we got sheep brain.
When I was a kid I ate to much "Space Dust" and woke up in the middle of the night throwing up all over the place. To this day I get a little ill just thinking about that stuff. BTW: Space Dust is a type of candy that pops when you put it in your mouth. Try googling space dust if you are not familiar with the candy.
@twinklybird Hahah, when I subscribed a while ago and got a thank you, I felt loved. ;D I bet you're the only one on youtube with this amount of subscribers who thank the people subscribing!
I've been one of the first too ;) I always wondered who that cute girl in some of the weird athene videos was - then I saw her channel and subscribed ;)
I think I might have tried lamb once, there's something about the texture and flavor I'm not too fond of.
One of the most unusual (and unpleasant) things I can think I've eaten is squid at a sushi restaurant. It doesn't taste anywhere near as good as octopus. The way I remember, is that eating squid like eating a tablespoon of mayonnaise in meat-form, mixed in with a hint of crab flavor.
hahaha funny story. I have a bad experience with Cheerios, once when i was like 7 i was eating cheerios and what i thought was like a hard cheerio or something in my mouth turned out to be a cricket that jump in the cereal......yeah.........never eating those again. =(
What's wrong with eating lambs? I eat lamb chops every sunday. I can imagine there might be something wrong wtih eating lamPs. Crazy belgian/flemish accents!
Wow, I really can't think of anything bizarre or strange thing I ate,..... ever. =/
I never was a big fan of cinnamon to be honest. I eat it in cinnamon buns and cinnamon toast crunch, that's about it that I know of unless their is some recipes with cinnamon hidden in them. =S
The weirdest thing i've ever eaten? Well....shall we say watermelon covered with fish? Lol no not yet. Uh the weirdest thing i've ever eaten is a red banana. Seriously the skin of the banana was red i'm not making it up. It tasted like a banana.
