Many Churches pick and choose their pet scriptures but the fact remains that the Pauline epistles were just as inspired and the precious Word of God just as much as the precious Word of God epistles of Peter and James and John.
Did I say anywhere in my post that they were not the inspired (God breathed) word of God?
I will clarify ONE thing that I posted. By "pick and choose" I'm not referring to "pet scriptures" or favorite scriptures but rather ignoring scriptures or creating precepts that are built from bits and pieces and not from over all inclusion of the word of God in it's complete form.
So to be clear. I'm not in disagreement with you. I don't want that to be a misunderstanding.
I am a Classical Holiness Pentecostal. I am sorry if I misunderstood you. I do believe that a lot of modern Christians pervert the writings of Paul by teaching the once saved always saved doctrine. Paul taught about grace and repentance but he also warned of the dangers of sin even after someone has been saved by grace. That is an example where I have seen people pervert the writings of Paul.
"That is an example where I have seen people pervert the writings of Paul"
That IS one example and it's a BIG one. I agree. I've too often seen people made worthless with the gospel of cheap grace (at least that's what I call it).
They let people excuse themselves from being truly set free FROM sin and rather let them be free to live IN sin. So they never truly experience the real peace of God that is beyond our understanding. They only have the peace of a soothed conscience.
Is it just me or doesn't it seem that the Evangelical church puts a lot of glorification into Paul and his writings? I mean, it just seems that the gospel and the life of Yeshua seem to come secondary to the glory of Paul and as well the Torah, the very Words of the Creator also are at the very bottom of te list of priorities. I've spoken with christians and they can quote paul verse for verse but cannot even retain the very Words of YAHWEH the Creator of all matter in His Torah. Priorities?
I think alot of people automatically think they cant do it if you say "Jesus did this so you should to" (I guess those people have never read when the bible says if you were truly in Christ you would walk like he walked) but when they talk about a man who was not God's son it seems in some peoples eyes more do - able
@christsaves1212 ,that's a very good observation. I also believe the last 2000 years have been ruled for the most part by a church hierarchy with a very anti-jewish bias. Theyve worked overtime to dejudaize the scriptures. Look at Martin Luther's writings on the Jews. My G-d!,no wonder the germans and Europe had such an intense jew hatred. Look up his treatise on the jews. It's on the internet. Not to mention Calvin ,Darby,Jerome and Ignatius.Unbelievable anti semites. Some "agape".lol
Let me ask you do you believe the writings of Paul are inspired by God or are you among those that do not believe that Paul was an Apostle for Jesus Christ. I am an old fashioned Holiness Pentecostal and I can testify that the Gospels are preached at my Church. Paul fulfilled the Great Commission of the Lord by spreading the Gospel and Paul suffered much for the Gospel of Christ.

Ravenhill really wasw one of this centuries great Bible men.
I have learned so much over the course of my christian Journey from his many teachings.
He loved the word of God.
It would be great if Pastors nowadays taught bible like him, instead of the purpose driven lie.
hallelluia!

It's not just you, it is the case that Paul's writings are taught (or at least picked and chosen from) quite a bit.
There are reasons for it. I won't get into it here, but I think there is a little bit of an "unbalance" in that regard.
