  • Those other four Stones got paid for this, too.

    Nice gig.

  • El mejor!

  • Mick is the man! Always has been, always will be.

  • I was stationed in germany in the us army in 1965,this song was on all the juke boxes in the bars, lots of memories.

  • just PERFECT

  • This was made for Marianne when she was with Dunbar. She ignored him and made comments he was disgusting and ugly. This was because at a party he dropped a drink down her blouse. At that time she she found him crude and immature. So, never one to take rejection lightly he made this tape. A lot of it was prophetic, however, as she did, in fact, wind up living with her mother after they split.

  • Perfect.

  • EnglishChannel1, thank you for that. I think that many of us knew of St Johns Wood, but not the other areas. It's good of you to give more depth to the song we all loved.

  • EatFuckPlaying

  • I wish I had a time to go back to this day when this song was out, thanks!

  • i am lost in his eyes......

  • before his prancing around (wanna be tina turner) on stage in tights phase

  • @nicktesla45 You just have to be mentally deficient. I bet you can't even count to 10. Go to your retarded racist friends, and leave the intelligent people here with taste alone. We don't need you or want you around.

  • when this track were made i was only one year old, thanks stones!

  • Nicktesla.... no not necessarily I just think Mick has some attraction maybe it is the big lips ? hes very cool

But I am also a HUGE fan of Nickola Tesla- and he had very thin lips . its a shame that Tesla was never really given credit for his ideas- sonar, electric radio waves too many to list. Tesla was ripped off by greedy people who stole his ideas like Edison

stole his stuff and never gave Tesla credit .-- plus lets not forget his greatest invention the Tesla death ray. .

  • @amberlyoness555 hey I like Mik Jagger . The Funny thing is that he Married Bianka and she looks just like him ! I just wonder if they are still together . And yes Tesla was a fucken Genius and some of His inventions are still classfied .

  • fine, i want to play with fire...lol id love to kiss mick jagger just once

  • @allyjackson88 I guess you like Ugly Fuckers with Nigger Lips . he defiently had Nigger lips. A lot of Brits have Nigger Blood in their Family History. Ohhh I'm sorry Maybe you're a nigger too ! ha ha ha ha ha

  • @nicktesla45 it must suck being this sad at life.

  • MICK CAN DO NO WRONG HE IS PERFECT AND SO EFFORTLESSLY

    HES HOT

  • @amberlyoness555 I guess you like Guys with Nigger Lips ! I bet you like Angelina Jolie too ! Hey that's OK , They make great Inner tubes if you're ever drowning , ha ha ha ha

  • @nicktesla45 Ha ha!

    Not funny

  • sorr, great song.

  • nice vid, graet song .

  • lil wayne redid this song lol

  • The most beautiful Stones song of All! Bravo, Mick! That such a wondrous creature Still walks the Earth!

  • mick jagger sexyniss begins @ 1:35

  • Great

  • The Stones Rock !!

  • Mickey would have envied her mouth all the porn star. But I like Mick about he's creation))

  • Stones #1

  • the greatest ever this man will live for eternity

  • Now you can buy jeans that have rips and holes in them who'd have thought ♥ love and peace ♥

  • I was 14 in 1965 and was totally in love with the stones Brian Jones mostly oh the memories. the older ones thought they needed a haircut and a wash lol I didn't care I loved them how life changes

  • i told you so...

  • This is why the Stones were and are so fantastic, down to earth and really relate to real people and their feelings, not like the manufactured goods of today.

    g live the Stones

  • Jagger and Burdon, two of the best blues/rock frontmen that we've ever seen.

  • The stones forever indeed!

  • ahhhhh Mick, lust in person, charm dripping from every facial expression, basically SO FUCKING SEXY

  • Great performance by Jagger imho. His facial gestures are subtle and yet masterful for the song. The only other kid on the block around that time with such masterful facial control was Kate Bush. Mick does a good job personifying addiction - it's intense lure and immediate charm, its excitement and danger...masterful performance.

  • @crazypoliticos MMh, Kate Bush is born in 1958, she wasn't another kid on the block along Jagger, she was like 7 years old at the time...

  • You are quite correct. Bush didn't burst on the scene until 78 or so. I meant "around that time" very loosely obviously. Bush and the Stones have both been around forever and Bush was the protege of David Gilmour. She's a year and a few months younger than me. I was precocious and listened to the Stones, Jefferson Airplane, Beatles, CSNY, Elton John, they all sort of meld together in my memory. So yeah I didn't fact check myself or anything just going off raw memory...sorry for the error.

  • For any foreigners (or non-Londoners) reading this, there are three areas of London referenced here. St Johns Wood (wealthy neighbourhood in north London); Stepney (poor area of east London); and Knightsbridge (rich area of west London).

  • @EnglishChannel1 Wait, wealthy and rich mean the same thing..... was that intentional???

  • I luuv it!

  • Fantastic song...

    The Rolling Stones Rock .

  • I could get lost in Mick's eyes.

  • @SushiMyTimbits me toooo (:::

  • @SushiMyTimbits ....unfortunately mick got lost in mick's eyes

  • Sorry, Keith. My panties only come off if there's a guitar in your hand.

  • Aguante los Stones vieja!!!

  • whoa what is mick on? he looks stoned out of his mind, 2000 light years from home stoned...

  • i didn't expect to see Sebastian Vettel!

  • Youth is beauty, didn't you know?

  • what bunch of poseurs... in front of a Rolls eeeeven... sheesh !

  • @smaxit yeah cause everyone's following your trend right? go get run over by a rolls fag

  • @GabeGuitarr Gabe... perfect name for a guy who works at guitar center....couldn't care less about trends. Call it the way i see it... BTW- what's a 'roll fag'...are you referring to your poster boys for this Lancome commercial ?

  • @smaxit well mister detective. no, i don't work at guitarcenter but i play guitar. I don't follow trends, i said that because your attitude gave the impression that you're "cool". i suggested you get run over by a "rolls"because thats what you called the car. I'm just saying fuck you and nobody cares what you think. and that whole witty response shit you did made you look more gay. stop it.

  • @GabeGuitarr You're right... nobody cares that a "sheesh !" IS ridiculously 'gay' ... and therefore never to be taken seriously... except by you. Gabe, I understand... you PLAY guitar... or with fire... or whatever...and it makes you feel so important it's now your last name... seriously ? you think the Stones don't look back and laugh at the shit they pulled ? The song has merit, even if it's a commercial for a perfume called 'play with fire' ... lighten up prick.

  • @smaxit no dick, its because i like the song and the stones. smaxit, i understand...you're a fag...who types like this...as though you THINK you're cool...but you're not...or whatever...and it makes you feel so important...but seriously. If you're saying the song is good, why are you calling them poseurs? As lame as they look to you, it was the 60s and either the stones were cocky and knew they were cool or look back and probably face palm at it, who knows. still, ill just disagree with you

  • imagine they might do a 50 year tour

  • Then and now,yesterday and today,as usual,the rolling stones

  • He is very handsome and beautiful.

  • If he only could..

  • ... But you better watch your step girl, or start living with your mother. So don't play with me ...

  • Celph titled

  • The rest of the band looks thrilled to be the silent background. There might have been a fight over this.

  • mick was so good looking when he was young. what happened????? lol

  • Love this song. Mick proves he can sing well and sensitively....

  • And I only liked the Beatles. And then came THIS. And somehow I knew I was a rebel.

  • They should write good songs and go on tv shows again. That would rock!

  • Dirty old Mars Bar muncher!

  • Had'nt seen this video before. Nice one! Re the lyrics, Stepney (East London) is probably more trendy than posh Knightsbridge now!

  • *****

  • Mick's eyeballs look like 2 pee holes in the snow..... Ripped ...

  • i was 17 then.

  • @Ja14111948

Im also-the best time on my live

  • @l7ebels , you meant Mick Taylor?

  • Great song. Its for redheads!

  • @lenrfrjyatnrfq HA what makes u say that i'm a red head so that's y i'm asking

  • Music is what I only had in '65. Great songs surely made me survive. This was one of them.

Surely the oldie videos bring back those long lost times and perfectly swift back to that era.

  • Hermosa canción, es sublime....

  • Chicks screaming sounds like some creepy wind blowing.

  • @jwahh exactly my thoughts!

  • Car's filled with helium. Wyman's holding it down so it won't float away.

  • So einen Track wird es nie wieder geben...I love the Stones!!!

  • Brian jones- the original justin bieber haircut

  • is he singing into sheesha or am I just "blind" ? :D

    one of my fav btw

  • So great to hear this again.

No one can do this like Mick.

    Thanks,

  • Oh boy oh boy oh boy... Looks like his first tan; or just makeup tan?

    Hilarious

  • Man, you can tell how young they are here, compared to now, like in 2006, or even 2011.

  • Where would the Stones be without Mick? Everyone else is great, don't get me wrong, but Mick puts them over the top.Otherwise they might have been another Animals or Yardbirds---great but not superstars.

  • @Alexandernero666 I'm with you there, mate. Mick's charisma and drive carried the other talented gents to the toppermost of the poppermost.

  • This song makes me feel good.

  • excellent 60s PUNK pseudo revolutionary satire

  • I played with fire and got burned.

  • God bless 1965 haha :)

  • what can you say. It's the Rolling Stones!!

  • Was watching a Keith Richards documentary. They were talking about Play With Fire. I was like "I bet Play With Fire has over a million views"

    Success!

  • I've always loved this song.

Contrary to appearances, I think that Mick Jagger is really singing (not lipsyncing) to a pre-recorded backing on this film footage.

On the original recording (from January 1965 session at RCA Studios in Los Angeles), Mick Jagger and Keith Richards performed without Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts. Jack Nitzcshe played harpsichord and Phil Spector played bass (actually a tuned down guitar).

  • @MrPJ1954 its kind of idiotic having the group sit around on a rolls while mick sings

  • @spacepatrolman

I agree that it was kinda idiotic having the group stand around a Rolls Royce while Mick sings. Considering that Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were the only bandmembers who played on the hit record, one could say that featuring the other bandmembers was not only silly, but misleading. I still love that song...and still wonder if Mick was really singing or just lipsyncing.

  • @MrPJ1954 where did they get the rolls their manager it would have been better if they were in the car with girls

theres a harpsichord there who played that brian your right its hard to tell if hes singing over a background track or lip syncing the vocal is too perfect hes probably lipsyncing

  • @spacepatrolman

A lot of the hitmakers must've thought that their fans were dim-witted.

Check out some of those who played unplugged electric guitars and sang without microphones. Who did they think they were kidding???

  • @MrPJ1954 it may not have been their fault sometimes the tv producers tell them you have to do it that way they were too cheap to record it live

  • @spacepatrolman

I'm convinced that some of the studios used for TV broadcasts have lousy acoustics and that some of the producers were too cheap to use equipment that could broadcast a musical performance with even half-way-decent fidelity.

A gig is a gig and often the artists can't be too picky.

  • @MrPJ1954 The other factor is tv shows that are broadcast live like saturday night live have a dress rehersal before the live broadcast

  • @MrPJ1954 It was a different time--TV was a new thing. People weren't thinking about that kind of stuff, they were just so excited to see these performers do their thing. We analyze these clips because we can watch them over and over again--but back then it was a one-shot deal and it was pretty exciting. Nobody was thinking about what the "norms" of live performance would be.

  • @MrPJ1954 watch the video the beach boys I get around 1964 they have 2 hot rods on stage

  • And you think Justin Bieber is attractive. Look at this guy's attitude. Looking right at the camera, smiling, telling it not to fuck with him

  • Amazing composition..Jagger and Richards only matched by Lennon and McCartney with their innate talent for song writing and playing..

  • Thank you for sharing.

  • the only way this song can get any cooler is if it was on supernatural ... oh wait it was

  • @Eddy9412 HHAHA hell yes, awesome

  • @Eddy9412 O wait...... Thats super gay

  • Supernatural

    Sam you kick ass

    that is all

  • @roxyboo17

    yessss!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I remember this song was playing the day the cops busted me........ha, all they got was twights and seeds..........back in the 60s

  • great song but the video makes no sense, why not show them with their instruments ??even if they were just miming it be better than them just standing around looking bored.

  • Jagger was so handsome when he was young!!!! :-))
