Brother, your brother sang this song very well and Haggard developed his style from your family's style. You would have a hit on this in the day when country was real. You are just as talented as Lefty. By the way, you and I drank together on Music Row when I was on an Independent Label there. I respect and enjoy your talent. You and your family preceded Merle, who I love. I like Gene Watson, but your brothers version was the original hit. I like the fact that you are singing gospel music.

I agree Gene owns this song, but hey awesome to hear Allen singing some of the songs that make him sound so like Lefty...I have Allen singing his gospel and then a terrific album put out by David with Allen and his daughter singing.. look out for her..she will knock your sox off too. Love it thanks Aussie so much

@australianfan I am one of the biggest Gene Watson fans on earth but this song is done by Lefty, HAG, Keith, Allen and Gene and some others...they all did an awesome job on it and with all the respect I truly have for Gene...if somebody beside Lefty can sing this song it is HAG or Keith...still love Gene's version and Allen's, too, no offend here...just my opinion ...
