  • 2:01 It was just trying to swat that pesky fly! awwww.

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW !!!!! ;)))))))

  • Look at the eyes !

  • Wht is there 3 dislikes. Such a beautiful lion thingy..

  • Cool i like it when it is running and walking

  • aww man that is awesome i wish I had a pet lion like that man

  • such thick fur is grown in colder climates. lions used to roam all over europe and middle east...

  • I love how she just flops on the floor at times. It's so heart-warming.

  • this just makes me want a lion cub as a pet... i don't even like animals either lol

  • i love the 2:15 section, it's like the cat is thinking "humans r good 4 something! kitty pick me up or a kitty back ride!" poor thing certainly didn't like the water at all, but glad shes doing well.

  • this animal is getting better because of the hydrotherpy and doesn't need to be sacrificed or destroyed. have to remind nascut1984 never to be a conservationist. it should make a person feel glad in wating to SAVE and not destroy an animal and in the end them turning out fine and the animal can live out the rest of its life. heck if the cat can lope and almost run like that y would any1 want 2 do away with it? come on!

  • nascut1984 is just an obvious troll

  • i giggled at 2:10 hehe she like im tried carry me carry me then he came carrying her like that her face was like yay ^.^ my god shes adorable

  • I'm so glad there are ppl out there who can love animals this much

  • Me too!

  • @springlake03 Absolutely I agree, there are lots of people who do, it is one of the most rewarding jobs there is working in animal rehabilitation, and caring for those that need human assistance.

  • This is heart breaking

  • lol so funny :)

    i love lions and tigers

  • its funny when she keeps falling but kinda sad as well cos of whats wroung with her

  • i'm assuming that cage is small for traveling safety purposes, a big cage isn't too good at keeping an animal stationary. it doesn't need a luxury suite to ride in.

  • That carrier is way too small for that cub. I can't stand seeing her thrash around in it. Had to stop the video before he put her back into it.

I hope the water therapy works but that cub sure didn't look like she liked it at all.

  • 2:10 whens the last time you hugged a cute lion cub

  • What a beautiful video and what a truely beautiful relationship the man and the lion share. Wonderful.

  • Aww ... I hope she's okay ..

  • i hated to see her put in that small cage. It looks too small for her.

  • Pause at 3:52

The lions face litterally says "Holy fucking shit!"

  • @JudasBlackMetal omg you are so right

  • HAHAHAHAHAAH 3:52 god too funny

  • It is so nice to see the love that keeper has for his little lady. Lots of time and effort given to help her have a quality life

  • 1:41 that must've hurt. i heard a pop.

  • shes probaly lyk when im older im so being scar and taking ova this place

  • That is AWESOME! If she was in the wild she'd be dead already. At least they are caring for her and showing her love.

  • Well... she is loved :)

  • What a spoiled little kitty cat, being carried around. Lol.

    JSG

  • Did u read the description?

  • it's sad that she can't walk right but i can't help not to LMFAO! every time she falls... lol

  • Aww! :D looks so cute C: she deserves some serious respect for walking with a amputated leg like that! oh and lol @ the water :P

  • actually the leg wasnt amputated pay a little more attention

  • he is so adorable!

  • naww she is soo cute ;P

  • 2:17, funny, had to carry her home.

  • 1:11 is funny!!

  • lol that hilarious when he was trying to get her to the van ;D

  • lol 2:18! Favorite part

  • hahahaha 3:54 her eyes are so funny

  • shes probably thinking OMG WATER!

  • why should I walk? Carry me daddy!

  • Bless her little heart, she looks so worried in the water!! It's okay Sammy, no one will let you drown.

  • aww what a sad incident, but that's nice that they help her :3

  • o and this was all at 2:07 for my previous comment

  • lol u first hear "sammy, sammy" then u see him carrying the lion LOL

  • yeah that was great

  • Yay for the little lion! And for those of you who cant tell, the injured limb is her front right leg.

  • What a cute lioness. Those shots where he was carrying her were funny to me. And I hope the hydrotherapy worked for her.

  • That lion is a cuTee .....muAH

  • That lion must wonder what the fuck they are doing with it in water.

  • oh boy I want a lion as a pet

  • Swimming lessons for lions!

  • She's going to think her name is "good girl". I think this is great how they are helping this cat-child because in the wild, she would have perished long time ago. Good work!

  • poor lion its so cute

  • looks like a drunk lion !! lol

  • its good that they are helping. its sad that the lion will never really know what the wild is like, because of its domestication to ppl. but its good that it gets a second chance.

  • i love what he does for her. shes a beautiful lioness.

  • i hope he doesnt get eaten

  • the lion is really cute and nice

  • Yep that's him.

  • she is beautiful!!...poor girl....cats dont like water lol....she looked like she was about to bite that ladys hand off haha....that would have been bad.....hope she gets better

  • Such a beautiful animal.

  • well if shes a retard what does tht make u

  • You can't really drawn any assumptions about me since I'm in no relation to that retard lion. Why would you actually ask such a dumb thing?

  • huh watt sorry my account got hacked my retarted freinds

  • Not a retard. A cripple. There's a difference.

  • damn straight.

  • HAHAHA xD

  • Oh my god, the expression on her face... LMAO!! Poor thing!

  • very cute, like a child. :) and though i would never own one as a pet i think it is touching, and his efforts did prevail

  • 3:52 such eyes!

  • Cutieeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

  • why say that he will never shoot a poor animal

  • >_>

    "Slow down, slow down."

She's a lion! She doesnt speak English!

  • i predict in 2 months he'll have to shoot that bitch

  • I predict in 2 months, you will have a killer case of diarrhea and shit your brains out. oops too late, you did that last week before you made your stupid comment.

  • kinda brings the PETA bastard out of me. pretty touching to see someone take such care of such beautiful creatures. Personally, i think the lion cub is waiting for his chance.

  • makes me a little bit sad

  • man,, you need to buy bigger box to carry her around

  • i want that cub for a pet, might be dangerous when its older but manthats a cute cub

  • dangerous?

have you not seen the "Christian the lion" video?

  • Did you not hear about Siegfried and Roy? Or the countless other stories of lions and tigers in captivity attacking their owners and caretakers? The bottom line is that these are meat eating predators that survive on their instincts. Obviously they have some capacity for learning, but if they feel threatened they will attack anyone and anything.

  • The tiger that attacked Roy was trying to drag him to safety and bit his neck to drag him like what a tiger would do with a cub.

  • Countless? Roy wasn't attacked either, he was dragged when he fell. Injured most definitely but it's not a s simple as "they're predators."

The important thing is to remember the cubs grow. A playful pounce could be a bone crunching fatal blow, and of course the vast majority of people could never provide the time, space, and expensive food and medical care. It's important to emphasize very few can care for big cats and to not get a cub, but it's also important to keep things in perspective.

  • poor little lion cub hes so cute

  • 2:16 lol

  • This is probably one of the cutest things I've ever seen. ever.

  • runrunrunrun-tired.... just like a kid on an outing XD

  • Samira was injured when she was 4 days old, but in this video she is about 4 months old. It's true that lions tend not to swim, but in this case hydrotherapy treatment gave her enough mobility to have a happy life.

  • nice job,,man

  • im glad ur saving it but get a BIGGER kennel

  • Thanks so much for caring about this lion I want my grandkids to see animals when they grow up.

  • 2:12 oh noezz! put meh back down! XD

  • how come the guys says 4 months but the info on the side says 4 days?

  • thats a puma? what happened?

  • wtf? i wish I knew what you ment.

  • A typical adult female Barbary/Atlas lion weighs approx 120 - 180kg. Samira probably weighs about 160kg now. She was still quite young when this video was taken, but she continued to get lifts from Pete for some time. See his 2008 MdS webpage for an incredible photo of her being carried up the steps when she was even bigger!

  • She must have enjoyed that piggy back ride back there. XD How heavy is she?

  • The lion is so full of energy and life in spite of her injury. So happy her leg could be exercised back to health. Thanks to the man in this video (Pete) for caring and not giving up. You're a Saint and the lion's Godsend.

  • Lol! 2:00 to 2:30 Lazy! :P

  • i thought lions like the water lol

  • Tigers are the only feline that go into water for pleasure, lions do not generally like water.

  • The hydrotherapy helped Samira the Barbary/Atlas lion survive. She is in good health at Port Lympne and she even bore live cubs despite her slight disability. Pete Thompson is part of the Barbary Lion Project and genuinely understands both conservation and animals. His efforts to help Samira are outstanding.

  • He's not happy in the water...

  • that man has better hair than most girls.

    xD

  • doghunter who are we to interfere with mother nature, sh*t for brains.

  • so If you get cancer, you don't want any medical help? Surely that would be interfering with nature?

  • If you're not a vegetarian, perhaps you should consider it, since you don't wanna interfere with nature, cause not matter what you say, there is not much natural about the way humanbeings eat meat,

And what about cars and the meatindustry causing gloabal warming.

We are in a possition to change the world, why shouldn't we use that power to save some of it at least sometimes?

  • you should learn to spell first and use fullstops.

    You have no valid arguement.

I will leave you with this - darwins theory of natural selection.

  • Not much of a comeback, now is it Mr.Korea...

Actually, by defenition I'm the only on of us who's been using valid arguments, instead of you throwing mud.

But i'll repeat for the slow (that's you again Mrkorea):

We are in a possition to change the world, why shouldn't we use that power to save some of it at least sometimes.

That's an argument, whether you like it or not.

  • When i look at this lion i see it suffering, if hydrotherapy increases it's living conditions than great. Long term i'm skeptic.

  • Well, the sufferings were temporary.

It's probably a long time ago this lion got back on it feet.

We'll never be able to tell whether or not the discomfort was worth it, but if I could choose between being put to sleep and rehabilitation, I would have gone for the last despite the agony.

And, to me at least, that's what it all comes down to, empathy.

    :)

  • Show me where it says the suffering was "temporary" where does it say it got back on it's feet.

  • Try to listen to what he says, it's improving.

Therefore, and based on personal experience with rehabilitation both my own cats backlegs from suddenly not to be able to stand on at all (the vets still don't know why), to assume be jumping around like before again and the fact that rehabilitation does work generally, I can only asume that since it's over a year ago the video was uploaded, that he's fine by now. Or let me put it like this why shouldn't he?

  • *with rehabilitating both my own cats back legs

  • Don't ask me why I spelled "asume" wrong and just threw it into the middle of a sentence, beats me :)

  • lol, your assuming and making generalisations.

"why shouldn't he" i like your optimism.

You cannot fully comprehend this medical condition therefore i don't see how you are qualified to answer.

So far you have inferred darwins theory of natural selection is "mud"

Do you even know what it is?

  • I base my guess (that the lion is getting better) on THE FACT that the lion is getting better.

It's not optimism, it's logic, "an object in motion tends to remain in motion unless acted upon by an outside force" it's condition is improving why and when should it stop?

The mud part was really an allusion to your "shit for brains" comment, not the the theory, but basicly it's survival of the fittest, happy?

  • "Roz Chaplin was able to exercise the leg back into fitness" - there you go MrKorea

  • Btw. I'm from Denmark, English is my second language, therefore the misspelling (which as far as I can tell only is were i wrote "not" instead of "no", but please enlighten me :b).

  • And this was a reply to MrKorea's

"doghunter who are we to interfere with mother nature, sh*t for brains."

  • ithink the animal is so cute and it is avery well listiner

  • so if you are about to lose a limb.. does that mean you get put down???? You're stupid!!

This is a wonderful video! Props to the trainer!!

    and Hydrotherapy is the best!!!!!

  • AAAGGGGHHHHHHH ITS SO SAD

    :(

  • SOMEONE TALK TO ME

im on cam and bored w0

  • Beautiful cub by the way! good job!

  • someone could say the same about your or another lame human. Why should the cub be put down? do you put down a human who has a broken leg. Like personally I think your stupid, some people might feel you should be put down for stupidity being an inferior trait and all. Perhaps you should grow a brain. Would you want someone to say you should be put down? for being a lame ignorant jack ass? :) thought not! ciao

  • the cubs head is so big compared to our head...cant imagine what it would be for a full grown one....

  • so wats even wrong with her leg?

  • that was cool i hope that that lion keeps going and gets better during those sessions...good vid

  • i would love a lion cub i would set it on me enimies

  • Are you suggesting that the mother is not supposed to carry the cubs around? Maybe if the cub was stronger that would not happen. Shit happens, and it usually happens to the weakest. On the same note, maybe the mother was not the fittest and does not know how to carry the cubs around which in that case would kill her generation eliminating some of lions that not know how to carry their cubs around. That is survival of the fittest, is it not?,you retard.

  • "Shit happens, and it usually happens to the weakest"

    No

    Shit happens. period

    The quote the Joker:

"you know the thing about chaos, everybody's even"

  • This was to serjflo's comment

  • Ok, I saw some of your videos and they are not bad. So I retract the part of "Your mother should have rejected you". For now... :)

  • It's the survival of the fittest. They based their decisions on instinct. Do you see how much care the cub requires? The cub was going to die sooner or later in the wild. No need to waste time away from the healthy cubs.

Humans put in the same situation would do the same or worst. Just ask anyone that has climbed Everest to see what happens when somebody breaks a leg up there. That's right, unless you want to die, you leave them there.

You are the dumb ass. Your mother should have rejected you.

  • Animals reject offspring if the offspring seem to be defective. The reason is that in the wild the mother needs to maximize the chance of healthy offspring reaching adulthood. An animal offspring with a defect would have almost 0 chance of surviving in the wild. Therefor the parent animal does not allow the defective offspring to compete for resources (nursing, attention) that might mean the difference between living or dying for the offspring that are healthy.

  • Wow, the first swimming lion!

  • going to be hard when she is full grown

  • The way it runs is so adorable!!

but this doesnt mean im promoting anything.

  • weeee...i want to carry it too!!...xD

  • AW poor girl...she looks almost terrified while putting on and taking off the vest and while in the water...well at least despite all that they're trying to help her!! XOXO ;-P

  • Oh the poor baby. Hope she recovers.

  • Its miraculous that she didnt have to have the leg amputated =]

  • That's like Cinderpaw in Warriors swimming

  • Um sir a lion is following you!

  • the poor lion cub! thats animal curelty!

  • Animal cruelty? They're trying to help a lion cub survive. It's not like it's getting hurt by touching water and if it makes the lion able to survive I think a bit of water is a good thing.

I'm against animal cruelty just like most other people are but some of you guys take it too far. :/

    Cool video btw.

  • jesus christ! he's HERE!

  • wow the mother aboandoned her cub because she KNEW it wouldnt survive in the wild with that injury.

even animals have a form of abortion :D

  • at 3:50 shes like wtf am i doin here?

  • i love little new born cubs they're sooooo cute!we can callem kittens like new born cats lol kiddin anywayz ccccuuuutttteeee!

  • im not sure how much the cub enjoys this...

  • thats so sad that she gets tired and falls down. its so nice and cute that the guy takes such good care of her, even carries her. amazing vid!

  • its just gonna suck when she gets older and bites his face off lol

  • Aw! So cute! I just hope that when she falls over that she doesn't hit her head and get hurt.

  • Olivertheracist - you should stop talking and learn to realize that this animal is a miracle. unlike you you're just some lil fag who has no life so he has to act tough on the internet... but i bet you're a scared lil spoiled brat in reality.

on the other end... this cub is the cutest thing ever and im glad it still has it's leg!

so.. yeah... retard... get a life, or take your own and fuck off

  • aww shes so cute

  • Hey what do have on your shoulder? Oh, just a lazy 40 pound kitty! So damn cute!

  • aww so cute!!

  • To Olivertheretard: I agree with your username you are a retard. Lets see how you would walk like if someone bite you on the leg and through the tendons, racist bastard stop calling people a nigger. and is that all you can say? Nigger?

  • lol when he started carrying the lion i cudnt help but smile :P
