Never actually was interested in hindustani classical music, but of late i am listening to all ragas etc,....... i also noticed that ragas have Sanskrit names, like raag bhairav, bhairav means shiva, also Sa Re Ga Ma, means; Sa (Shadaj),Re (Rishab),Ga (Gandhar), Ma (Madhyam). Never really knew Sanskrit & music were this deep.........I also felt this was a pretty decent movie.
hey ..but isnt this song a pure indian song?? its not even in urdu . isnt it a kind of "Bhakti song"? i m saying bcause i hve heard women singing it as a devotion song to "Lord Krishna" in temples.
this song is dedicated to Lord Krishna to whom Godess radha is saying that Neer bharan kaise jaun ,,sakhi mori dagar chalat........awsome.....................means how do go to get water from the well Krishna sees me and teases me all the time.....amazing use of the old poem....and i love this compostion in Raaga Tiluk Kamod i myself practised it many times ....and it is still to get so confident on the low notes used int his particular raag
Tilak kamod aik Raag ka naam hay. Raag ka matlab hota hay woh melodic mode jiss per melody gai ya bajai ja rahi ho. Aur melondy 5 ya 5 see ziada musical notes( Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni) mein compose ke jati hay. Aur aisa classical singing mein hota hay.. Har Raag ka aik khass time hota hay jaisa kay Tilak kamod ka Raat mein, 1st and 2nd quarters. About 200 ragas are extant out of many thousands.
bro sub kuch uper say guzar raha hay..yar i m intrested in learning music .but there r some problems i cant go to some teacher . can u please suggest how can i learn all this .. n im learning guitar maself too ..its v.hectic .. but i have to help ma self.
I really appreciate the enthusiasm you bear for learning classical music. Dear!, if you really want to ascertain classical immaculately you'll have to go to an Ustad even if you are bounded to conditions halting you, you'll have to defy in other words. If its not possible then get some knowledge about basics of classical from internet or books and start listening to maestros,you'll be able to understand Ragas and stuff...
I don't reckon you'll be able to sing or compose without an Ustad even if you have gleaned ample about Ragas.. If you are talented enough, may be things start working for you.
Let me intimate learning guitar and learning classical are two entirely different things. Classical needs a pure soul full of devotion.
