Their cheapness and their lack of proper protocols for safety are just some of the reasons why they crash so often. There are a lot of old planes that fly domestic in Canada and USA with no incidence at all.
@rafizadeh123 There are no TVs in front of seats on Airbus A300s either, because those planes are too old. In any case, you can choose which airline you fly with, but you can't choose which type of aeroplane you fly in. If you definitely want a TV in front of your seat, check with the particular airline. Some airlines have TVs in front of seats on most of their planes, and they can tell you if the planes on the route you want to fly on has them or not. Hope this helps.

Well they are NOT bad i think they serve the best food I ever seen in Airlines Even US Airways. Like meat or chicken! More amusingly, yes the cabin crew gave everyone a safety card, but what that meant wasn't that you could leave the one in the seat pocket behind, it meant you had a spare to give to your SP-lovin' buddy who couldn't make it to Koln to fly on this special day with Iranair.

First of all, the dude doing the PA is German, and his English is exceptional. Better than most Americans.
More amusingly, yes the cabin crew gave everyone a safety card, but what that meant wasn't that you could leave the one in the seat pocket behind, it meant you had a spare to give to your SP-lovin' buddy who couldn't make it to Koln to fly on this special day with Iranair.
...Who, I might add, I've flown many times, international and domestic, and they are top drawer. Great airline.

Iran Air is a horrible, horrible airline. From the old ass Boeing's that haven't had proper maintenance or parts since 1979, to the incomplete hospitality because of Islamic dietary restrictions, to the stinky and poorly dressed cabin crew.
Really, unless you are flying domestic in Iran or are really short on cash do yourself a favour and fly another airline.

LYING?! Iranair are a GREAT airline. OK they don't have a TV at every seat but I can READ BOOKS so no problem there. Their elderly jets are a delight to fly on, where else can you get a 747SP or a 727?
IR jets get full mx and approved parts, no way would they be allowed to fly over city centres like London, Beijing, Tokyo, if they weren't as safe as BA et al.
