Just wanted to briefly congratulate you on such a fantastic video.
I'm currently writing my final piece for my Cambridge politics degree on peace studies and this 7 minute video has it all.
From Galtung to Lederach, Webel, Kramer and Burton. All the great ideas about how this academic discipline needs (and deserves to) move forward from intellectual ghettoization and into the hearts and minds of all are scribbled on that white board.
This is an interesting video. With every answer, there are so many more questions and problems but also possibilities.
One thing that I try to do, as a teacher, is to promote empathy for all humans, especially those that are different. Children these days are a part of a growing global society. They are quick to accept physical and cultural differences as a normal part of life, so it is up to us, their teachers and their parents to expose them to as many cultures as we can.
This video is amazing and thought provoking! I have watched it twice already just to re-read some of the comments that I missed on the first viewing. The variety of languages involved in the signatures brought tears to my eyes. All the students involved are truly a great example of the "one-ness" we, as a world, can achieve.
