I would say Square Space is cool, but it lacks one thing that I can say a lot of people would agree on. That is the form builder is only on their most expensive package which sucks. If they offered it as a separate module add on in cheaper package then it would rock all the way. Some of us don't need all the bells and whistles like six audiences so its a waste of resources.

Hit Esc from any of your pages to logon ;) You can remove the Login module after that...it sometimes confuse people who think they should be logging into your site.

@behold888 I would say it's more geared towards blogs due to the lack of FTP, but I'm not sure what you mean by a "normal" site. If you're talking about a company site, then Squarespace will work well for you.

What you have to remember is that although this is a cool product, Kevin Rose and TWiT are sponsored by SS, plus they have their other main sites supported by themselves... It is a cool product, but may suffer with 'Muse'

I have a question if you don't mind. I'm need a website just as a portfolio for my video editing and motion graphics work. Just something that I could use to embed videos from Vimeo for potential clients or employers to see my work but I have no clue how to design a website so squarespace is looking like a good option. My question is, do you think that squarespace would be overkill for a simple portfolio site?

Ya know I like this site and whatnot...but I am not making a blog, I'm trying to make a gallery so I'm having troubles with it. It's displaying the gallery in a vertical display in one line and I want it in horizontal with multiple rows of thumbnails that people can click on.

squarespace is quite amazing...I've had my site up for a few months now and even though I don't know any advanced HTML or CSS I was able to create an ok layout.......although I still think knowing HTML and CSS would help quite a bit with designing...

I'm still trying to find a SquareSpace demo showing how you change the graphics of a site. Everyone just shows the CSS for changing menu items, font size, colors, etc.

@N41MUN94 yes its quite ease to do, use your own domain host control panel and repoint the dns records to squarespace ip address.

i've made a website i but i don't find it very customizable e.g you can't change individual letters which i need to do ... how do you do this... and how can you fade colers e.g in borders and stuff...

I have just signed up for a trial with Squarespace and noticed that it looks identical now to as it was in this video (posted almost two years ago). Has the site been improved in this time, does the company make regular updates to the product?  I notice that your website is still with them, so I take it that you are happy with Squarespace as a web design tool?
