Joker sparred Stephens because he wanted him to remember what he said about cops/knives BUT thhe bank manager got to be dead because this robbing is supposed to stay secret.

The Bank Manager could have said to anybody the Joker robbed them.

Who cares if he lives or dies....he let everybody in the bank survive....what would he care if the manager survives or not....the grenade was a fake, we know this....why? because he just wanted to scare him, all of the grenades were probably fake....the manager doesn't matter...as long as he was put down when he started shooting and didn't get back up, it's a dead issue. He doesn't matter. Joker doesn't care whether he lives or dies....now, what do I think, he probably lived from his wounds.
