Lots of good memories of this for the Genesis. Never got around to beating it, and I think I owe it to myself to try again. The job where you have to deactivate the over-heating core always effed me up. Although the music is nice for the CD version, it feels very unfitting for most of the settings...especially the jungle area. Nice run.
great gaming on the part of ScHlAuChi there! questions: 1]would it be possible for you kind folks at Cubex/LP.org to have LPs of the SNES and-or Mega Drive/Genesis versions as well? 2] even tho Delphine, the company behind this went belly up, wouldn't it be cool if someone like, let's say, Ubisoft picked up the rights and do a DLCGame remake?
18:30 - hardest moment of the game, it blocked me from going onwards for a few years ;p I would never think of just letting him run and that he will jump automatically.
The Anti-G belt falling animation sucked hard, nothing beats the amiga version ;p
Thankyou for uploading this :D Although I think it's a terrible version! I had no idea it was like this on the Mega CD- voice acting serves pretty good comedy purposes though.
Interesting. I never played this version. I agree with the others through. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but there's a special charm to the original that this one lacks. The new music while nice, doesn't seem appropriate to the mood or pacing of the game. It's like seeing a movie based on a book you've read. You find yourself saying "that's not how I imagined it". Of course on the model 1 you could adjust the audio mix for SFX vs Music with the slider on the console.
However the 3D cutscenes and uninspired voice acting of this version don't do much for the game. The original Rotoscoped cutscenes were far more charming, and the absence of voiced speech allows for the imagination of the player to fill in the gaps.
@00Resev I prefer the Genesis version as the absence of anything but ambient sound except for key moments really adds to the tension when music finally does kick in.
The first clip reminds me of Total recall, ''that's my life you are playing with''

Also, "haha" at 1.26.07 when the alien travels on the air. Yes, I'm watching the entire video because it's a very unproductive Sunday.

SNES version was already done, only missing one is MegaDrive, which is pretty much identical to this one apart from the videos.
As for a remake, thats hard as no one knows who owns the rights!

Ah yes, I remember playing this on Genesis. I think it was the first game that I finished that didn't have a "good" (i.e. positive) ending.

The CD quality music is amazing tough.
