Thanks. You're right. There's no tape on this hoop or the one in the Beat It video, so they're both really slippery. Back when I made these videos (last winter), I was trying to improve my core plane control by leaving the tape off. These days I'm still using the same untaped hoop, and I love it. And wonderfully enough, it doesn't feel slippery at all anymore. So the exercise definitely worked, and my planes are smoother than ever. GIve it a try some time. It teaches great humility.
i notice on some of your hoops you may have no grip tape.. if thats so..kudos to you man..i cant live w/o it you have great control

When I get back into core hooping, I'll have to take a look at these since I love the look and feel of flinging it off the body like that.
And I'll have to post more videos soon too since I've been incubating a daily spiritual hoop practice with my minis.
