Blowing Out the speakers on my Ipod headphones

Nothing compared to what I just did with my Apple earbuds. I had them hooked up to around 500w (stereo plus equalizer) the sound from it was amazing and somehow didn't blow the speakers entirely. And I put them in water as well, the sound was clearer when submerged.
