If you do your research you will find out its a satellite that crashed into the ocean and woke up clover. Then it attacked an oil rig followed by the events of the film. watch the rest of the viral video's and you will see what i am talking about.

Me and my family saw the movie on dvd. Its the monster falling into the ocean.we kept replaying it, so it is. Guess it came from outerspace......

Look it's a satelite. A satellite malfuntioned and crashed into the water which awakened the beast that had been sleeping for so long. I read that the monster is still a baby, but it's 25 stories high O_o
