No one loves Barrera more than me. But believe me i know Boxing and i know when a fighter passed his prime . Some age quicker than others in the ring not all fighters r the same . it depends on the number of fights,fighting style and many other factors .

Roy jones showed signs of ring age after the third tarver fight so he should've stepped down then. Calzaghe on the other hand still has great stamina and can still fight big fighters but that doesn't make him a better fighter than jones all together
I hope that you now understand my point that certain fighters age quicker than others in the ring, it doesn't matter if he's 25 or 35 some just lose the stamina, strength, hunger to fight etc sooner than others and should step down at the right moment to avoid embarresing endings.
