I was there! I was 7 at the time. I remember Judas Priest getting booed. Am I mistaken, or was a laser used at this show from Ace's guitar? I remember Pau
I was at this show as well... My second KISS show. I didn't know of Judas Priest at the time either but they impressed me at a time when I thought that KISS was the only band in rock and roll that mattered. Anybody remember K.K. Downing hurling his guitar in the air, losing it in the lights, and falling into the audience to avoid getting hit by his own guitar?
I was eleven in '79 too and missed them on this tour, I'm jealous -
A coupla tidbits about this show.. Kiss did not stay at a hotel in town as the local Holiday Inn required a $5,000 damage bond before they would make a reservation for the band.
Also, Bill Aucoin, the millionaire manager who had much to do with putting Kiss on top, and doesn't attend many concerts, was there because it was a special event. His nickname was Good Gig Gui because he only attended important shows.
(last comment was posted too soon). I remember Paul playing drums for a few seconds just kidding around.
